Who are Rudy and Madison?

Rudy Pankow and Madison Bailey play JJ Maybank and Kiara Carrera on the Netflix show, Outerbanks (OBX). Their characters are currently dating on the show, or were before JJ was killed off, but we will get to that.

So, how did Rudy and Madison meet?

"Madison met Rudy on a flight, prior to receiving her final call for the role of Kiara. She revealed that Rudy reached out to her, telling her she was his pick for the part."

Madison said, "I had a DM from him. He was like 'I knew you were Kiara the second I saw you.' And I was like, 'Oh my God, did this guy three seats up really just DM me?' He went and found our mutuals, found my page and messaged me."

Rudy was the first to spot Madison on the plane that they both were on. He immediately knew she was Kiara the moment he looked at her and quickly went and found her instagram just to DM her. This was before they have ever even spoken.

After the plane and her booking the role, they instantly become good friends.

Madison said, "We both have this rambunctious energy to do random things and say random things all the time and not take anything too seriously. Based off that, we vibed immediately because we were just joking around and having a good time."
