Since Jiara was confirmed for season 3, it is natural that fans expected a Jiara photoshoot and solo interviews, but unfortunately, we got none of that despite them being teased as the "big romance of the season."
Josh Pate, the co-creator of Outerbanks said, "they are the big romance of the season, We didn't want to do it fast, so we thought season 3 would be a good time to explore that, and I'm really please with the way that came out. It's some of my favourite scenes of the whole season."
On February 16, 2023, Outerbanks did a premiere in honor of season 3 since it was the first season dropping without any covid protocols... or at least we thought. Rudison went out of their way to ensure that they were at least 6ft apart. They didn't interact at all during the event. The distance between them got even further especially since they brought their girlfriends.
