when tara said she had a 'pretty big house' i was not expecting this. i've always had money growing up but seeing a young girl live in a house like this alone was crazy. she showed me around and let me choose a room, she bought me some spare skincare, make up products, hygiene products, hairbrush, toothbrush and all the essential bits into my new room.

we both took a seat onto my bed. "tara..." i paused, "what the actually fuck do you do for a living" i laughed, to which she chuckled, "i figured you would ask" she said scratching the back of her head with a smile. "this may sound crazy.. but i'm a famous youtuber" she grinned, "what the fuck!" i said with a big grin on my face and with a tone of shock, "can my day get anymore stranger? me and my boyfriend broke up, i got kicked out and now i'm temporarily living with a fucking famous youtuber" i said as we both laughed.

"soo, what about you?" tara asked me, "huh?" i responded, "what do you do for a living?" she asked, "ohh, well to be honest by boyfriend had majority of the income, i work as a barista in a coffee shop downtown." i smiled, "my parents also send me money monthly." i answered. "oh cool, where do your parents live?" i shuffled in my seat, "out of state." i said quickly, making it clear i did not want to talk further about them. tara nodded slowly and took the hint.

before i had the chance to bring up another topic, tara pulled out face masks and popcorn, a big grin crept on my face. "movie night?" she grinned, "DUH!" i answered. we headed down into the living room and watched some random rom-com, although we weren't really watching it, tara was telling me about her and her ex.

"5 years for nothing.." she paused, "when he told me how he was feeling i agreed, it was the most easiest thing to do in that situation. what pains me the most is how fast he moved on, and how close we still are and i have to pretend like its nothing." she sighed, my eyes widened, "girl your better than me i would've smacked both of them" i chuckled, as we both  laughed together.

"so who was the lucky boy?" i asked, "his names jake, another famous youtuber, our relationship was very public too so that made things worse." she smiled but with a sense of sadness. "yeah that's why i dont use social media." i said, tara shot up. "you dont use social media? what the fuck? why?" she said in shock but also giggling.

i paused for a moment, "umm majority because of my parents, but also dont like the drama" i shrugged, "i have a private instagram but i would never post, i have 0 followers anyway." i giggled, "that's fair enough" tara responded with a smiled.

suddenly, out of nowhere, taras phone began to ring. she picked up and showed it to me.

"see what i mean, but we are just friends" she said rolling her eyes, "i want you to meet him, he is super nice i promise." i nodded and gave her a smile as she clicked answer.

"hey tara i have a vid idea if you wanna come round in a couple of days?" the boy on the other side of the phone questioned. he was lay in bed, shirtless and covered in tattoos. "um yeah sure, is Monday cool?" tara responded, "yeah that's perfect, i wanted to do a hot wing challenge." he said, "jake! you know i hate those." she responded smiling but sounding annoyed, "yeahh, sorry but it will be funny! you'll be fine i promise" he smiled.

"jake i want you to meet someone" tara smiled putting the camera on me, i waved awkwardly, "this is aspen, my new roommate!" tara said to jake who was just smiling, "hello aspen" he grinned, "hi jake" i smiled back, "if you wanna come round, or be apart of the video on monday then feel free!" he said nicely, "not really my thing, i might come round though! thankyou." i said to him.

me, jake and tara ended up speaking for the rest of the night, i got to learn a lot about both of them and vice versa. i met jakes roommate johnny, who was a bit on the emo side and quite shy but he was super funny and very sweet, i also met his girlfriend grace who i recognised of stranger things and the 5 of us spoke all night.

on saturday and sunday, me and tara went shopping, ate out went to the beach, watched movies, and chilled. tara filmed some videos meanwhile as well.

soon enough it was monday.
