aspens pov

tara woke up around 11am to go to jake and johnnys house. i hopped in the shower, put on some light makeup and got changed into one of taras white tank tops and blue jeans with some chunky sunglasses.

"ill probably have to dip early" i said, turning to look at tara who was driving us to jakes, "ive got work at 6pm" she nodded in response, "that's okay!" she smiled, "you excited to meet them?" she asked, "yeah i guess" i smiled back, "okay good, jake is chill he's super nice, sometimes a bit outgoing and johnny is well.. johnny" we laughed. "oh! they also have a new roommate, carrington" she said, "i dont think he's here today, he's so nice and easy going, super cute too" she winked, "ew! tara" i said rolling my eyes.

tara lead me into the house, i was super nervous at first, but they all greeted me with a hug and were super nice. we were all talking for a bit, getting to know each other better. it wasn't really awkward at all.

"duuude carrington is gonna love you" jake said with a grin whilst tara and johnnie were setting up the video. "isn't that your roommate? where is he?" i asked, "yeah, he recently moved in but he's being too much of a fuckboy to be here right now" he chuckled, "yikes" i said jokingly as i gave jake a sarcastic side eye.

"JAKEEEEE!" tara shouted from upstairs, "you sure you dont want to be in the vid?" he questioned one last time, "i'm sure, thankyou though" i gave him a smile "okay suit your self" he shrugged jokingly, "ill see you in a bit" he said whilst walking up the stairs.

me and grace, johnnies girlfriend, were sat talking on the couch whilst they were screaming upstairs, she was super nice and i couldn't get over the fact johnnie was dating chrissy from stranger things. 

i looked at the time, 5:30, "shoot, i've gotta go to work" i said to her, "where do you work?" she asked, "coffee shop in downtown" i smiled, "ill take you!" she grinned grabbing my hand after i followed after her.

she messaged johnnie that she was dropping me off, and i shouted bye from the bottom of the stairs. we got starbucks on the way, traded numbers, and i gave grace a hug before she left. they were all so nice and welcoming, i think i have finally made actual friends in LA.

its been a couple of weeks and me and tara are practically inseparable. i had given her some of my wages for rent and food but was planning on getting my stuff back soon so i could really make it up to her, maybe even plan a surprise. same with me, grace, johnnie and jake; we were all so close. i facetimed jake with tara or grace almost every night without fail and i had been round a few more times, we even went out to taco bell to eat.

i hadn't met carrington yet, it seems every time i go round he his with a girl. but apart from that, we were all really good friends it all happened so quick, but i wouldn't want it another way.
