Dr. Rose held the receiver of the landline to her ear and said, "Amanda is coming here daily and asking the guards to let her meet Jack, but they're not letting her do so. Then she makes a lot of noise and goes back." Rose paused and then added,

"Dean Shawn called me today and asked me to end this drama and let Jack see his legal attendant, or she would go to court and create a problem for the hospital."

"I'll talk with Amanda... don't worry," Sheriff Sarah spoke, her voice coming through the landline speaker.

"Okay... talk to her and stop her from visiting here and creating a scene," Rose said.

"Alright... and I'm reviewing your every session with Jack, and I must say you're doing quite well," Sarah admired Dr. Rose's efforts.

"Thank you, Sheriff... you just handle Amanda, and let me deal with Jack in the most suitable manner," Rose said in a serious tone and disconnected the call.

She exhaled a deep breath, and before she could do anything else, Jack came inside and looked at her.

"Hey, Jack," Rose said in a pleasant tone.

"Come, sit," Rose said, pointing to the seat by the window.

Jack sat down on the chair and crossed one leg over the other. He then looked at Dr. Rose, who was now sitting in front of him, noticing that today Jack was behaving just like a girl. His body gestures displayed a certain kind of delicacy and elegance, which are typically part of a female personality.

"You know, Jack, today is my dad's birthday... I was a small girl when he died, but I still miss him," Rose said in a low voice as if she were speaking to a friend, sharing her heart with him.

"I am... sorry," Jack said slowly, but his face was blank.

"It's okay," Dr. Rose replied, looking at Jack before she asked,

"Jack, do you know who your real parents were?"

She asked this question to ascertain whether Jack's memory was functioning properly.

"They died... from sickness," Jack said slowly in a soft and wavering tone.

"And then me... and my... younger sister... were sent... to an orphanage," Jack continued slowly, his tone melancholic. His posture was now more graceful, and his gestures seemed more delicate, reflecting a feminine quality.

Dr. Rose's eyes widened in surprise, and she spoke,

"Did you have a sister?" She asked in surprise because she had never been told that Jack had a real sister.

"Yes, I had a... sister," Jack said, his voice taking on a more gentle, lilting tone. He looked towards the door with a hint of shyness before turning back to Rose and saying,

"Can you make them go away?" Jack asked in a tense tone, his voice trembling with a soft, almost pleading quality.

"Who are you talking about?" Rose asked, looking towards the door.

"Those shadows... they're standing... near the door," Jack said slowly, his words drifting out in a hesitant and almost dreamy manner. His eyes were wide and tearful, with a vulnerable, childlike quality.

Rose looked around and found nothing. She then looked back at Jack and asked,

"What do these shadows say to you?" Rose asked, trying to delve deeper and understand what was troubling him.

"They always come after me... I see them... They're dark... They haunt me," Jack said in a non-coherent tone. His speech was becoming disjointed, but with a distinctly feminine inflection. His expressions and mannerisms were now delicate, and his movements were graceful yet anxious.

Dr. Rose's mind raced as she listened. She knew there were no literal shadows, just Jack's troubled psyche projecting his fears. She needed to address the root of these hallucinations.

"Jack, I want you to know that there's no one else here... It's just your mind playing tricks on you... You're safe in this room."

Jack's eyes were wide with confusion and fear. He spoke, "But I can't... I can't stop seeing them. They're real... trust me."

Dr. Rose sighed softly and said, "I trust you, Jack... and I am here to help you in every situation... So, I promise I will soon help you extract every fear of yours and make your mind and soul unburdened." Rose said politely.

She didn't want to tell Jack that all of his fears and shadows were manifestations of his mind, as he wasn't ready to absorb them. So, she had to take it slowly and treat Jack with patience.

"I'm so scared. I don't want to see them anymore," Jack murmured, his voice quivering with a fragile tone. He then looked down at his hands, clasped tightly between his knees.

Dr. Rose looked at the afraid Jack, then stood up and walked over to a small drawer of her desk. She retrieved a notebook from it, then came back near Jack and handed it to him.

"Take this notebook and keep it with you... Whenever you feel anxious, scared, or nervous, write down your feelings and thoughts in it... It might help you understand and manage your fears and scrambled thoughts... And remember, I'm here to help you through this."

Jack took the notebook, his fingers brushing against hers with a delicate touch.

"Thank you," he said softly, his voice carrying a gentle, almost musical quality.

Dr. Rose offered a reassuring smile. "We'll get through this together, Jack... One step at a time."

As Jack held the notebook, his demeanor shifted dramatically. His voice deepened, taking on a calm, mature tone. He said,

"I appreciate this, Dr. Rose. I'll do my best to use it," his words steady and composed.

Dr. Rose noticed the sudden change from a feminine quality to a more grounded, masculine presence. She raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the shift.

"I'm glad you're willing to work with it," she said gently.

"Is there anything else you'd like to discuss today?"

Jack looked thoughtful for a moment before responding, "No, I think I just need some time to process everything. It's a lot to take in."

Dr. Rose nodded, recognizing the gravity of his response.

"Jack. Take all the time you need. "If you have any questions or thoughts, feel free to share—I'm here to listen."

As Jack continued in his gentle, mature manner, Dr. Rose was keenly aware of the contrast between his current and previous personalities. She considered asking more about his sister and his awareness of his split personality but decided against it for now. Instead, she chose to proceed with patience, focusing on ensuring Jack's mental health and stability through gradual, thoughtful steps.
