The shitty part was it was Saturday, so I would have to wait an entire weekend to confront Jasper about my theory. Thankfully or- unthankfully depends on how you look at it, I was spending all of Saturday in Port Angeles with the girls and Camden, because Jacob offered to take Adam to the lake with a few other boys so Camden had the day free and insisted we all needed an objective male opinion.

"I like this one, but I don't know about the one shoulder thing."

"I like this one."

"Yeah, I like the beeding, and you wouldn't need jewelry."

"Hey Annie, check it out," I looked up as Hunter walked out of the dressingroom wearing a lacey black top with a poofy skirt and crow feathers on the sides "Badass right?"

"It is very you," I nodded, trying not to laugh too hard

"You know people are gonna stare at you, right?" Jessica stared in mild terror at the dress choice

"Fuck em!" Camden exclaimed, jumping up and twirling Hunter around like a ballerina "I like it."

"Yeah, fuck it," Hunter shrugged with laugh

"Fuck em," I agreed

"Annie are you gonna pick a dress?" Angela asked, looking at herself in the mirror with a lavender pencil dress pressed against her

"No," I scoffed "I don't even have a date."

"What about Jasper?" Bella mumbled

At the mention of the boy Sasha, Hunter and Cam all stared into my soul. All three of them had been bound and determined to ignore last nights conversation. I just sunk into my seat, trying my best not to come off as too bothered- I was failing, I know. Luckily everyone became engrossed in the dress shopping once again. I looked up from my sketchbook every now and again to see Bella staring out the window, antsy as ever. She looked like she couldn't get out of there fast enough. A few times Cam tucked his head on my shoulder to watch what I was sketching. I was trying to finish up my charcoal sketch project by the end of the semester, it was kind of stressing me out. I had never been graded on my art before.

"You said that about the last five dresses though," Jessica's voice pulled me back into the current

"I thought they were all pretty good," Bella mumbled

"You're not really into this, are you," Angela frowned

"I actually really just wanna go to this bookstore," Bella tucked her feet out from under her and stood up "I'll meet you guys at the restaurant?"

"Actually I don't think I can wait till then," Sasha huffed, somehow she had ended up on the floor of the dress shop "You guys wanna go get a quick bite now?"

"Mhm."

"Yeah," Cam and Hunter nodded in agreeance

"You going to Thunderbird?" I asked, Bella nodded her head "I'll go with, I gotta pick up my paycheck anyways."

"See you at the restaurant," Angela waved

The group of us exited the dress shop and split off our different ways. Bella and I headed down to Thunderbird and Whale Books where I got to talk to Jack about sails and finishing while Bella looked for the book she wanted. I also grabbed my paycheck which would be nice since we were all planning on eating out, which I didn't previously have the money to do. All the money I had made so far working for Jack I stuck in a savings account.

"Here," Bella came to the front desk with a green hardcover book "Just this."

"Quietlet Legends?" I read the spine and grabbed the book from her before she could hand it to Jack "Bella I have a copy of this at home."
