Charlie's POV
Those days without Cameron were absolute Hell. I had to retreat into my mindspace and have Raven take over for a while. I just couldn't handle Cameron being gone again. Even if he was kidnapped.
From what Raven told me, Harlow was able to contact him somehow. I think Cameron having Witch blood was a good factor. The Warriors of our Pack stormed Higher Parks along with the Royal Pack. They found Cameron and a few other Wolves chained to a wall in a small, dank room. There were a couple of Wolves hooked up to blood-letting machines in another room.
When we got word that Cameron was on his way back, he let me have control. I knew Cameron was injured, but I couldn't hold myself back from jumping on him when I got to his room. I missed him so much. It took three days for him to be able to come home. So, I spent three days by his side in the clinic.
"What are you thinking about so intently, Baby?" Cameron murmurs as he rubs his hand on my back.
"Just the last few days." I sigh, curling into his chest.
"It was rough." He rubs my back. "But, I'm glad you have Raven to help you."
"Me too." I sigh again. "He took over because I couldn't handle it."
"I heard." He says softly. "You know you're incredibly strong, though, right?"
"I'll believe you, but I don't feel it." I grumble.
Just then, my stomach decides to make itself known. Cameron just chuckles. "Alright, time for first breakfast."
"Papa told you about the food schedule, huh?" I giggle as he slides us out of bed.
"Yep!" Cam grins, as he carries me out to the kitchen. He sets me down on the bar stool and gets to making me some oatmeal. "The 'hobbit schedule' he called it."
"Yeah." I grin, as he sets a glass of juice down in front of me. "Apparently they have like seven meals a day, then dessert."
"Sounds perfect for you and the baby." He smiles, kissing my temple.
"Bab-ies." I correct him. "Eric said we're having twins." I grin.
"We are?" He spins to look at me.
I nod, and watch as his smile grows.
"Oh, my Goddess!" He jumps around the kitchen. "We're having twins!" He cheers.
"I'm glad you're happy." I laugh.
"Are you kidding?!" He looks at me with wild eyes. "I'm ecstatic!"
"Well, I'm glad." I laugh. I quickly eat the oatmeal he sets in front of me. "That was really good. Can I have more? I'm still hungry."
"Looks like we'll need to up your portion size as well." He chuckles as he makes me a larger bowl for seconds.
"Seems like it." I grin. "I can't believe I'm having twins."
"I can." He laughs over his shoulder. "I'm a twin. You're a twin. Uncle Jace and Auntie Anna are twins. Uncles Jamie and Phillip are twins." He laughs again. "We've got lots of twins in the family, Baby. Plus, the triplets."
"You're right." I laugh with him. "I think the biggest shock would be having a single child. Like Dad was."
"Yeah." Cammie laughs. "He still gets salty when Pop-Pop teases him about being the only singlet."
"I wanna go see Papa today." I say, as Cameron washes the dishes.
"More work on the house?" He asks over his shoulder.
