It's a cold night in New York City, precisely at 09.49 pm. Theodore was sitting behind his desk that filled with piles of paper works for the new case he was working on. He exhales a long sigh and close his eyes from the tiredness he was feeling right now, Theodore just wants all of these to be over, so he could go back to his apartment to rest. That is when Theodore about to stand up and pack his belonging, his phone buzzed and the ID of the caller on his phone is 'Dad'. Theodore sigh once again before picked up the phone and answer the call from his father, he pulled the chair to sit while talking to the old man.

"Hello?" he answers the call, putting the phone close against his ear.

"I hope you still work your ass off at this hour." Hagen said to the phone call towards his middle child with cold and firm tone in his voice.

Marc in other hand, saw his best friend on call and knowing exactly who Theodore was talking to. Marc frowns his eyebrows trying to read what his best friend was talking about on the phone.

"Yes, I am still working" Theodore said to the phone with a respectful tone. Hagen in other end scoffed at the answer from his son.

"For how long do you want to sit in that damn office? I was hoping you could be more than me..." Hagen lecture his son with serious tone.

"After everything I planned for you to follow, and yet here you are a lawyer in some cheap law firm." Hagen adds in a mocking and annoyed toward Theodore through the phone call.

"I have done my best to follow what you w-" Theodore got cut mid sentences by father.

"Do better." Hagen say in commanding tone before hehung up the call and left Theodore in the shadow of his father expectations.

Theodore put his phone down and rub the bridge of his nose while exhaling a long sigh, Marc saw the look in his best friend's face and decide to go and check on him. Marc walks toward Theodore's office and lean on the door frame with his hands tucked in his pockets.

"Your old man again?" Marc ask when he already know the answer is.

Theodore chuckled as he nods his head that was resting back on the headrest of the chair he was sitting on.

"I need some good ass food and couple glass of drinks right now" Theodore said to Marc with a slight smile across his face.

"I know a place" Marc said to his friend and pushed himself off of the door frame.

He tilt his head to the side, motion his friend to the exit way as an invitation to leave the office and have a nice dinner out at his own family restaurant in Brooklyn Bridge.

They drive the car leaving the firm building going straight to Brooklyn Bridge where Marc's family restaurant place is. It only took 7-8 drive from where they were come from with car. And when they arrived at the restaurant, both of them got greeted warmly by the Biancos family. They sit in the outdoor area, watching the city light and the gently of the East River breeze hitting their skin and make them feel goosebumps.

They eat the dinner together enjoying the quite time after the work chaos since morning. Marc gripped the soda can in his hand before sipping it. Theodore notice the look on his best friend's face and decide to ask.

"Hey, What's on your mind?" Theodore asked with concern in his eyes.

Marc shaking his head as he sigh and looks around the restaurant to make sure no one heard them.

"This restaurant.. is in the line of bankruptcy" Marc said in low voice, Theodore nods his head understanding where is it going.

The restaurant as indeed became a little less crowded than usual, even though its Friday night but people seem to go somewhere else than a classic Italian restaurant.

"My payment and Vivie's cant cover for the restaurant needs.." Marc spilled everything that he have in mind to his friend, "I don't want to get a promotion, I know the money could help us but the burden, the pressure to put work first over family is just not what I wanted" Marc adds with a hint of sadness in his tone.

Theodore nods his head before sipping the soda in his hand and sigh, he looks around the restaurant, watching the reflection of the light on the river waves.

"I don't want to be a judge either.. its too hard" Theodore finally said and smile slightly to Marc.

"Isn't it your goal to be a judge?" Marc asked raising his eyebrow before realizing the reason, "Ah.. right, It was your old man's plan" Marc adds and Theodore just laugh it off.

"Im the only hope he have, I cant disappoint him by making my own choices" Theodore said with a chuckled and sips his soda, Marc just rolls his eyes and scoffed. He had enough of his friend's obedient towards his father and its getting ridiculous.
