Donna Benneviento x Fifth lord reader

Gender neutral reader!
Pronouns: They/them

Summary: In which you are Miranda's fifth lord, staying in the Benneviento estate as Donna's emotional support lover.

You were one of Miranda's five lords, joining shortly after Heisenberg had. You were one of Miranda's more successful experiments, being the strongest of the other lords. You were similar to Miranda herself, having a form with six wings. Unlike hers though, your wings were a beautiful pure white, like an archangel's. You were nicknamed 'Dove' by Miranda, and the others had only addressed you as such.

As a lord yourself, you were able to pick a location somewhere in the village to set up your residence. However, you were prone to loneliness... That only meant that you couldn't bear living alone, and absolutely needed to stay with one of the lords.

Among the lords themselves, there were some you got along well with, namely Lady Dimitrescu and Salvatore Moreau. There were others you didn't enjoy as much, being Karl Heisenberg with his loud mouth and snarky remarks. You were one to enjoy peace and silence, so when every family meeting was spent with Lady DImitrescu and Heisenberg bickering, you quickly grew sick of it.

Now, Moreau was nice. He was timid and lonely in his reservoir, but there was a reason why you didn't want to stay there. The reservoir was infamous for its stench and monsters living underwater in the murky reservoir. You were quite sensitive to smell, meaning the reservoir and the castle Dimitrescu weren't the most ideal places to stay. With that being said, you grew to enjoy Lady Benneviento's company. She was all you could ever ask for in a friend.

Being quiet and timid, her doll, Angie often did the talking for her. As noisy Angie was at times, she was quite the pleasant company. The estate Benneviento was cosy, isolated and built near a waterfall, which made it your favourite. When you proposed living with Donna at first, she was shocked. The poor lord was terrified of social interactions, and yet you spoke to her instead of Angie. It didn't take too long for her to warm up to you, mainly because you weren't as loud and mean, and that you two had similar interests.

When you first found out that Donna was interested in doll-making, and that she made Angie herself, you were amazed by her talent. While you weren't the most skillful in this area, you certainly enjoyed handicraft. Moving into the Benneviento estate, Donna taught you how to make dolls. Angie would insult your failed creations at times, but she did enjoy having more friends. Besides, scary and creepy dolls were the whole point of the Benneviento house.

Donna once made a doll that resembled you, with its fluffy wings on its back. You absolutely adored it, and praised her endlessly for it. She kept it in her personal chambers, keeping it closer to her compared to the other dolls. You knew how sensitive she was, so whenever she got upset at a family meeting, she'd keep your doll close to her chest.

Despite that, she did enjoy having the real deal more. Donna grew comfortable enough to remove her veil around you, showing you her 'unsightly mutation' on her eye. When she revealed herself, you were shocked, though not in a bad way. She was beautiful, more than you had imagined. You saw the painting of her hung by the staircase, but it never fully captured her beauty, and you were absolutely head over heels.

As much as you assured her that she was gorgeous, she never took your compliment. The poor lord was insecure, hating her image. She was just a big softie, you realised. You never did anything to upset her, trying to make her happy at all times, which usually worked. When you failed to make her smile, you'd switch to your emotional support lover mode, hugging her tightly and whispering sweet nothings into her ear. She loved it, having someone to comfort her like that.

One time, Donna got really upset after a family meeting, when Heisenberg had insulted her. When the two of you got home, she hugged you tightly, like a human plushie. You patted her back, trying to cheer her up, but it never worked. You talked about it with Angie, and she was livid at Heisenberg too. In order to cheer her up, you two had devised a plan to make her laugh again.

"Uhm, Dove, what exactly is that?" You and Angie had attempted at making a doll of Donna herself, just like how she had made a doll of you... Although it did turn out a little weird. You blamed Angie, but she'd just say "I'm the doll, not the dollmaker!". Presenting your pathetic little lump of darkness to Donna, you felt yourself melting into a sad puddle.

"Uhm, I love it! I really do," She assured you, panicking as you began shrinking further into a sad puddle. "It's a wonderful dog," she continued, picking the lump of darkness up in her hands and cradling it. Angie was full-on cackling at this point, and you melted further into a sad puddle.

"She just called your doll a dog!" Angie giggled, holding her wooden hand over her mouth. Donna panicked even more, placing your creation on the table before trying to comfort your sad puddle self. "It's not a dog...? Well, I love it either way," you sniffled, getting up from your sad-puddle state. "You promise? It's a doll I made of you," Donna paused before nodding. "I do, I love it," your entire demeanour changed when you gained her approval. "Then, let's place it beside my doll!" You exclaimed in excitement.

Donna sighed before letting out a slight chuckle. Your eyes lit up when she cracked a small smile, "Hah! I made you happy!" you puffed out your chest, proud of your accomplishment. Donna stared at you with a soft expression, nodding before grabbing your arm and taking you to her room.

She placed your sad lump beside her masterpiece of a doll, and smiled softly. "Thank you, for always cheering me up," she says, placing a small peck on your cheek. "It's my job as your personal emotional support lover!" You placed your hands on your hips. "Yes, yes..." she mumbled, glancing at the two dolls. "Now the doll version of me has a doll version of you...just like us, it now too, has a personal emotional support lover," she joked.

Gazing at your lover's bright smile, you arranged the dolls on the table into a different position. Donna looked curiously, as you stood right back up. "Then, we should do what the dolls are doing too," Donna then glanced at the two dolls... one doll on top of the other, kissing. She flushed red before looking right back at you. "R-right," The two of you locked lips, while another doll folded her arms, unimpressed. "Oh, right.. the two of you just left me in the doll-making room," Angie deadpans.
