It was 6:27 PM when Sepharine finally escaped, her voice trembling as she muttered, "It was too scary."

Standing on the deserted main road, she noticed a sleek Mazda MX-5 Miata cruising past. Desperation in her eyes, she waved her arms, hoping for a lift. Miraculously, the car came to a halt, and the driver, looking exhausted, rolled down his window.

Sepharine, breathless: "Hey, mister, could you please give me a ride home?"

The man glanced at her, his eyes narrowing with slight confusion but softening quickly. "Yeah, sure. Hop in."

As they sped down the lonely highway, an eerie silence filled the car. The man stole a quick glance at Sepharine, taking in her all-black outfit.

The man, intrigued: "Black jeans, black jacket... such beauty. What brings you out here, if you don't mind me asking?"

Sepharine, with a nonchalant grin: "Oh, nothing much... just peeing by the side of the road."

The man, his face flushing with embarrassment, replied softly: "Oh... I'm so sorry. I didn't realize."

Sepharine, her smile bright and reassuring: "It happens, don't worry about it."

The man, after a quiet moment: "Yeah, I suppose so."

Meanwhile, miles away, Max's mind was racing with worry. His hand flew to his belt-his teleporter was missing. Panic set in as he searched frantically.

Max, muttering to himself: "Did I lose it... or did she take it? What the hell happened? Should I call Alex?"

On the other side, Sepharine sat quietly in the passenger seat, her eyes scanning the empty road as the car hummed along

Sepharine, her voice steady but curious: "Hey, I need to ask you something... where exactly are you heading?"

The man, not taking his eyes off the road, replied: "Not too far, just a nearby gas station. My petrol's run out. But don't worry, I'll drop you wherever you need."

Sepharine, her mind racing, urged: "Oh, okay, but could you go a little faster?"

The man chuckled, shaking his head: "Sorry, but I always stick to the rules. No speeding for me, haha."
