" Class form your groups and talk about your outreach. Remember to choose an indigent group and your outreach must be education related " Our teacher announced.
After seeing our groupings for the outreach, I can't say I'm mad. Mukha namang nagbabago na si Stacey eh. I think she deserves a chance naman and this could be the start of our friendship.
Aiah, Maloi, and Stacey formed a circle using our chairs around my seat.
" So guys, what's the plan? Saan tayo mag-ooutreach? " Aiah asked the group.
" Sa Pampanga tayo " Stacey answered.
" Pampanga? Parang ang layo naman, mahal ng pamasahe, food, at accomodation " I reacted.
" Sagot ko naman eh, wag ka na maarte " Stacey rolled her eyes.
" Sungit nanaman Staks, akala ko ba mabait ka na? " Maloi teased Stacey.
" Oh basta, sa van ko na lang kayo sumakay and we have a resthouse there, dun na lang tayo magstay. Arte niyo? " Stacey scoffed.
" So it's decided then, Pampanga tayo " Aiah confirmed.
" 5:00am tayo dito sa school, walang malalate losers " Stacey rolled her eyes.
Behind her stone cold exterior, I know Stacey has a soft spot. She's not a bad person, maybe I just need to get to know her better.
The day of the outreach program came and I arrived at school a little before 5:00am.
To my surprise, Stacey was already there in her van with her driver. I knocked on the door and the driver opened it for me.
" Thank you po " I thanked Stacey's driver.
Turns out wala pa silang lahat, I was the first one there.
" Good morning Stacey " I greeted her.
" Walang good sa morning ko, ikaw agad nakita ko " She rolled her eyes.
I know Stacey doesn't mean anything she says. I know na hindi naman talaga siya ganyan, so I decided to try and make a conversation with her pa din.
" Nag breakfast ka na ba? " I asked her.
" Duh, hindi pa, kita mo namang ang aga pa " She replied.
" Gusto mo? " I said as I fumbled through my bag and offered her the sandwich na pabaon ni mama.
She didn't respond and I took that as a no.
I slowly took the sandwich away when she snatched it from my hand.
" Ooffer tapos di ibibigay, akin na yan " She said as she took the sandwich.
" Di ka kasi sumasagot " I replied.
" Walang lason to ah " She said as she opened the ziploc sandwich bag.
" Ikaw lang naman gagawa nun " I teased her.
She threw the ziploc bad at me to tease her back, I threw it back to her.
" Ah ganon? " She said as she wiled mayonnaise from the sandwich to my face.
We started chasing each other around the van when the other around the van when the others came and entered.
" Huyy ano to? Bati na ang Jhocey? " Maloi teased us.
