Felix' POV

Oliver insisted on carrying Telvest to the car but I vehemently refused and carried him myself, even if he weighed more than I could handle. I grit my teeth and carried him to the car that was waiting for us in front of the building.

I laid him on the backseat and hurriedly got inside as well, placing his head on my lap. I told them that we need to bring him to a nearby hospital but they refused and told me that they have their own medical team.

Thank goodness that the apartment building was just fifteen minutes away from here or I might fight them against it. I stared at his face as I prayed to all the Saints that he would survive this.

I will not forgive myself if something happens to him. I should have listened to everyone around me and should have seen Katherine for what she really was.

Now, the damage had already done before I was awaken from that stupid dream. I was dreaming of a happy future with her but she must have been dreaming of something else. We might not be on the same page from the start and I could just be the only one in love.

I was deep in thought when I heard him grunting in pain so I immediately held his face and wiped his tears away.

"Are you okay?" I asked softly.

"Aside from the feeling of something sharp in my belly, I am fine." He slowly replied and he sounded weak.

That was when I noticed that his face was getting paler and his eyes were unfocused like he was fighting the urge to sleep.

"Oliver!" I shouted in alarm.

Oliver slid the partition open and peeked inside the backseat.

"What's wrong?" He asked in worry.

"He, he is getting whiter!" I exclaimed in fear.

I tapped his face multiple times to get him to focus on me but his eyes kept on dropping like he was about to succumb to a deep sleep.

"He cannot sleep because of blood loss or he might not wake up again!" Oliver shouted and that made me tap his face continuously while calling out to him.

"Are we there yet?" I asked in panic.

"We are almost there." He replied and I could hear the panic in his voice too.

I could not do anything else than hold his head in my arms and pray for his survival. I felt like I was holding his head for a long time but in reality it was just a little over five minutes. The car finally pulled over a big gate that I recognized as Telvest's mansion. And when the car skidded to a stop in front of the mansion's front door, a group of individuals who were in clinical gowns rushed to us.

Two of them were pushing a stretcher and I understood immediately that it was for Telvest. I let them take him from me and hurried out of the car to follow them wherever they were taking him. They brought him to the basement which I was not aware of and my jaw dropped momentarily for it looked so well supplied with medical tools and medicines.

It could pass for an emergency room with how clean and well supplied it was. My attention reverted to Telvest when I heard his sudden cry of pain. He was screaming in agony due to the pressure that one of the nurses gave on his wound.

"The bullet is still there." She said after removing her hand to his stomach.

She could have used an Ultrasound! I seethed and glared at her.

I found myself wanting to lash at her for hurting Telvest instead of treating him. If it was not for Oliver who dragged me out of the place, I would have done to her what I was thinking.
