It's a short drive to my house, we live like a few roads away from each other.
"Hurry up!" Jess shouted at Lily who ran inside the house to get her clothes. I laughed at Lily who started walking slower. I stayed in the car with Jess waiting for Lily to return.
"Why are you pushing away your feeling?" Jess asked once Lily entered the house.
"What?"
"I know you, Sam. You don't want to accept the fact that Zack might like you, that's fine. But when will you realize that you like him?" Jess was now facing her whole body towards me.
"What are you talking about?" i asked softly
"You like him. You like Zack. Why are you trying to hide it?"
"There's nothing to hide because i don't like him" i snapped at her.
"You see? You're pushing away your feelings. Why?" she questioned
"I don't want to get hurt by him, that's why" i said then climbed out of the car just as Lily stepped out of the house.
"Sam, you need to learn to take risk, even if there's a chance that you might get hurt" Jess shouted as i neared the door.
"Bye Sam, I'll see you tomorrow" Lily said. She hugged me then ran to the car.
I walked inside of my house to pick up a few things to head over to Cam's with.
"Samantha?" my dad voice rang from his study when i was about to climb up the stairs.
"Yeah, dad?" i asked. What is he doing home? He's never home.
"We need to talk" he said "come over here" he added. I walked into his study and sat in front of his desk. His study was big and he had shelves filled with books. His desk was a dark wood and he only had a computer on it.
"Did i do something wrong?" my voice sounds so small right now.
"No. You'll be turning eighteen in a few months and its time we sort out what you want"
"I don't understand"
"Well the business will automatically belong to you once you're eighteen. All the money will be transferred into your account. My brother's house and penthouse will all be in your name"
"But I'll be only eighteen. I can't handle paying a house and working"
"The house as well as the penthouse are paid and are in your name. You would only have to worry about paying the electricity, water and ofcause buy your own food. If you move into one of those two places of cause. As for the working part, that's what we need to discuss. Would you like to sell the business? Be in charge and run the business? Or would you own the business but let me run it and ofcause get half of the profit?" he said
"I have no idea"
"Well think about it. Your birthday is in two months, you need to have a decision by then"
"Ok"
"You may leave now"
I walked out of the study and headed for my room. I can't handle all this responsibility.
I walked into my room and someone was sitting, with their back towards me on my carpet.
"Aidan?"
"He use to come into your room a lot. We all had sleepovers in your room because the floor was more comfortable than the bed" he smiled at the memories.
