<~~ Samantha Marshall to the side
After i finished my shower i had to put my sweat pants as well as my sticky, coffee stained shirt back on. Doesn't my life suck? YES it does. I looked myself over in the mirror and i don't know why but i suddenly cared about how i looked. So with that thought i took my shirt back off and put my red tank top on instead. I looked...better, i think. Well the tank top does show more skin then I've ever shown but I'll have to adjust my comfort levels just for today. I also kept my wrist bands on. I retied my hair in a messy bun, pinched my cheeks to bring some color to my face and then grabbed my things and walked out to the school corridors.
While walking in the corridors towards my locker, i had this strange feeling like everyone was staring at me and talking about me. I did a mental check just to make sure i had all my clothes on properly. Once i saw my locker in the distance, i started walking faster than necessary. What is going on? Why is everyone looking at me? I mean first i was invisible and now everyone is staring at me. Please tell me that this isn't another prank. I kept asking these entire questions in my head and wondered what the hell is happening.
When i finally reached my locker, i buried almost half my body inside trying to take out my books and stuff my gym clothes inside. I heard the sound of a girl shouting which almost burst my eardrums. And that voice belonged to non-other than my best friend, who was shouting my name from the other side of the corridor.
"Sammy! OMG! Is that really you? Girl what the hell happened to you? You look amazing" she shouted. She shouted really loud and she was literally right in front of me. Great now the whole school is staring at me.
"Jess do you have to be so loud, is it really necessary to shout when I'm right here?" i scowled her in a really soft voice. I can never be really mad at someone, it's just not me.
"I'm so sorry. I just got super excited when i saw you" she apologized sounding really sorry. This child is too energetic for a Monday morning.
"It's OK don't stress over it" i said "have you seen Cam already?" i asked after a few seconds.
"No not yet but let's not talk about him. I want to know what you did this summer because you look so different. What happened to the glasses, braces and your extremely long hair? Where did it all go?" she questioned me. So yes i looked like a complete nerd before the summer, but just because i looked like one didn't mean i was one. I had to work really hard just to get a B average. Well i got rid of most of my nerdy appearance.
"i had the braces removed, got contacts to replace the glasses and my hair..." i said sounding extremely sad "-i fell asleep one night with gum in my mouth and then the gum got all tangled in my hair. They had to cut it. Now my hair is just a bit longer than shoulder length" i told her. I didn't even realize my hair came out of its messy bun and was now hanging loose down my back.
"Oh I'm so sorry. I knew how much you loved your long hair" she mumbled out and gave me a hug that may have lasted 2 minutes.
"What's wrong, you look flushed?" she asked sounding concerned.
"Nothing i just met this boy and..." i was cut off by Jess' immediate shouting.
"You met a boy, tell me everything" she demanded
And i told her everything. I told her how he looks, how we met this morning, how he followed me to school, every little detail.
"You never told him your name?" she asked after i told her everything.
"Nope"
"What's his name?"
"Zack"
"He has a cute name and he sounds like the sweet bad boy type." she laughed. "Don't worry, if you see him I'll be here to help you so your heart won't beat so fast" she laughed again
