It consumed me like a starved demon.
Courage of a coward, was all I could summon.
And I knew that it was my destined doom,
Faith and hope, did not have any room.So I shut my eyes and waited to be gone,
Hoping to be nothing, by the break of dawn.
But then I saw an aggravated fire,
Sunny and warm, a pain pacifier.I felt it burning into my imperfect garb,
Ears numbed with tuneless hymns of a harp.
Through the mayhem, echoed an inhuman call,
Almost too familiar, deterring my fall.Vision blinded by a colossal, godly glow,
All I wanted then, was to aimlessly follow.
Senses awakened, eyes sharp and wide,
I clasped tightly onto light's inviting tide.
