Carlos zipped up the last of the bags and took a deep breath, glancing at the clock. 8:16 AM. Perfect timing. He quietly walked out of the bedroom, careful not to disturb Lando, who was still curled up under the blanket with the pillow Carlos had strategically placed next to him. He couldn't help but smile at the sight.

In the kitchen, Carlos brewed himself some coffee, relishing the quiet morning. The warmth and caffeine did wonders to wake him up. However, just as he finished the last sip, he heard Lando's groggy voice call from the bedroom.

- "Carlos?"

Carlos froze for a second, then quickly speed-walked back to the room, pushing the door open to find Lando standing by the sink, drying his face with a towel. His hair was still messy from sleep, and the slight pout on his lips made Carlos suppress a laugh.

Lando tilted his head, giving Carlos a look.

- "Why didn't you wake me up? I could've packed my own things, you know."

Carlos smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.

- "I didn't want to disturb you,"

he said, his tone light.

- "You were sleeping so peacefully. Plus, you're still not feeling 100%."

Lando sighed, crossing his arms, though a smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

- "You can't use that as an excuse forever, you know."

- "Maybe not forever,"

Carlos teased, his grin widening as he met Lando's mock-displeased gaze.

- "But I know you appreciate it, even if you won't admit it."

Lando rolled his eyes but couldn't hide his growing smile.

- "I'm still mad at you,"

he said, though his tone lacked conviction.

Carlos stepped closer, his smirk playful.

- "Oh, are you?"

he asked, his voice dipping lower as he wrapped his arms around Lando's waist, pulling him close. Lando's hands instinctively rested against Carlos's chest.

- "Yes, I am,"

Lando replied, trying to maintain his composure, but his blush betrayed him.

Carlos leaned in slightly, his lips brushing against Lando's ear as he whispered,

- "You needed the rest. And besides, I can't have my future husband doing everything now, can I?"

Lando's cheeks turned crimson as he let out a soft laugh, quickly covering his face with his hands.

- "Carlos, stop it,"

he mumbled, his voice muffled.

Carlos chuckled, gently moving Lando's hands away from his face. He pressed a soft kiss to Lando's forehead, his teasing smirk never wavering.

- "What? Am I wrong?"

- "You're impossible,"

Lando muttered, though his smile grew wider as he tried to look away, still blushing.

- "And yet, you love me,"

Carlos replied, his tone playful as he kissed Lando's forehead again.
