~ I honestly ran out of ideas to write so I'ma make Carlos sick. (Also this will be a cover up for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday!)

Late update I know it's just I'ma be in Nebraska for a couple days and I won't be able to write much!

Also in this story Oscar hasn't met Lily yet!
Spoiler: his girlfriend cheated on him and after practice day for Qatar he meets Lily! Or should I make him and Logan fall for each other? Lemme know! >>>

The early morning of Sunday was calm, but was soon shattered by the sound of sharp knocking on the hotel door. Lando groaned, stretching as he dragged himself out of bed, mumbling,

- “Who the hell is knocking at 5 a.m.?”

He shuffled toward the door, still half-asleep, and swung it open. His eyes widened when he saw Oscar standing there, looking disheveled, his face pale and uneasy.

- “Oscar? What are you doing here?”

Lando asked, his voice laced with confusion.

Oscar hesitated, his voice shaky.

- “Can I come in?”

he asked softly, glancing down as if unsure of himself.

Lando blinked, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

- “Yeah, sure. But…”

He glanced toward the bedroom.

- “Carlos is still sleeping, so keep it down, okay?”

Oscar nodded, stepping inside. He sighed heavily before looking back at Lando.

- “Thanks, mate. I just… I needed to talk to someone.”

Lando tilted his head.

- “What’s going on?”

Oscar hesitated again, his voice dropping to a whisper.

- “She cheated on me,”

he admitted, his words trembling.

- “My girlfriend. Last night.”

Lando’s mouth fell open in shock.

- “No way. Are you serious?”

He cringed immediately, realizing how that sounded.

- “I mean, Oscar, I’m so sorry.”

Oscar nodded, his shoulders slumping.

- “Yeah… It’s a mess. I didn’t know who else to go to.”

Lando softened, gesturing toward the couch.

- “Sit down. I’ll be right back.”

As Oscar sat, Lando quickly brushed his teeth, splashing water on his face before joining him. He plopped down next to his teammate, giving him a reassuring smile.

- “Man, that’s awful,”

Lando said.

- “You deserve so much better. Seriously.”

Oscar gave a weak smile, fiddling with his hands.

- “Thanks, mate. I just… I thought we would be perfect you know? 7 months and this..”

Lando nodded sympathetically.

- “It sucks, but hey, you’re a catch. You’ll find someone who actually deserves you.”

Oscar chuckled lightly.

- “You’re better at this than I expected.”

Their laughter must have carried because Carlos’s groggy voice called out from the bedroom.
