Thank you for reading Emery and Rhys's story! I really hope you enjoyed it :) I've been working on Mila Carmichael and Theo Tomlin's story, The Carmichael Princess, and wanted to share a sneak peek with you. This is not the entire first chapter, but is an excerpt from a different part of the story.
You've gotten a good flavor of who Mila and Theo are. It is most definitely grumpy x sunshine. Theo is quiet and often seen as "scary" (at least by everyone but Mila). Mila is bubbly and quite the yapper. I've been having so much fun writing these two and having Mila help Theo out of his dark shell.
I've also included generated images of how I envisioned their facial appearances. There are a few things I couldn't get right - like Theo's facial scarring and the fact that he is huskier, and that Mila is mid-size/curvy, also it didn't get her eyes right (she should have green eyes), but alas. Enjoy!

Theo
She has made me baked goods every morning the last two weeks.
It started with the peanut butter banana muffins, which were so fucking good, and continued to other breakfast treats. Yesterday, she made cinnamon scones, the day before that blueberry lemon loaf, and now today she's passing me a homemade cheese Danish.
Of course everything she's made me is fucking delicious, but I also should probably let her know that no matter how many baked goods she makes me, we aren't going to be friends. Also, I'm a big fucking dude and I have to work out hard otherwise this shit gives me a bigger belly than I already have.
"I've been trying new recipes!" she tells me excitedly. "I put a honey glaze on that," she nods towards the danish.
"Thank you."
Mila looks at me expectantly. Does she want me to eat it in front of her?
"Do you...I mean, do you have a favorite...maybe?" Mila asks.
