- Ethan -

I walked ahead with my gun as the two other guys walked behind me whispering amongst eatchother. "How many people was in the group?" Feliks asked, the youngest of us.. Or at least he looked the youngest. He hugged himself while walking. "Six. Both men and women.. We had settled into an abandonded place and i woke up robbed from my stuff and left alone", Matvey told Feliks. Feliks nodded.

I kept walking. "We are almost there", i said. The least i could do after almost shooting a survivor is to let them stay at my base. That's just an unspoken rule in this world, or what's left of it. Feliks suddenly stopped dead in his tracks and pulled out another gun, a pistol from his belt and gave it to Matvey. "It's not safe in here without something to defend yourself", he said and i nodded in agreement. "I got more in my base. Feel free to take what you need, and again, sorry about the earlier", i said. Matvey gave a faint smile. "Thanks", he said quietly. He seemed like a sensitive person in the middle of zombies, suddenly i felt an fatherly reflex to protect both of them.

I cleared my throat and kept walking.
