It was dark when we walked trough the town, it got dark fast. I could see Matvey wipe his eyes from time to time, i knew damn well why he was crying.. Ethan.. Ethan who had stepped into a trap and gotten infected. I gave a gentle squeeze to Matvey's hand, to remind him to focus and to let him know i was there for him. "It's so quiet in here", Matvey said with a hint of a sob. I nodded. "It's a good thing in a way", i answered and Matvey nodded.
When it got really dark we found an abandonded church to spend our night in, we couldn't walk longer because the zombies would be everywhere. It was also hellishly cold. We were laying down on the floor in the church's office room. The front door and all the other doors were shut and locked.
Matvey was hugging himself. "S-should we pray?" he suddenly asked. "What?" i asked. "For Ethan.. His memory", Matvey said. "We should be thankful for him."
I nodded. "Let's cross our hands", i said and we sat up and crossed our hands. I started the prayer. Once we send our memberings to him i pulled Matvey closer to me and we hugged.
