The breakfast table was quiet. Matvey was eating and Feliks had finished his meal already. "Soo.. How was your night, guys?" I joked around, not to offend them, but more likely cheer up the mood which was bad because late at night zombies had started to gather around the gates. Luckily, none of them had gone closer. "Shut it mate", Feliks said with a hint of smile and Matvey just blushed and looked down at the table. "Nah, i'm just joking. It's good to see your holding up better now Matvey", i sighed. Matvey looked at me and nodded.
In the same moment Romeo walked to us from under the stairs, well, to be specific he walked to his food bowl. I got up and filled the bowl and petted the cat before getting up. I looked outside from the cracks of the planked windows. "We need to go get some supplies", i said. "Supplies? The basement still has food tho", Matvey said confused. I nodded. "Yeah, but our guns don't have anything to load them with", i reminded. Both the guys nodded then and Matvey finished eating.
It was more dangerous outside than before. The guns kept shooting until we reached a shop i usually found the supplies i needed from. Matvey made sure there was no zombies inside and Feliks made sure none of the zombies saw, heard or followed us while i gathered the supplies into a bag.
There was pharamacy in the same shop and from the corner of my eye i could catch Matvey take something from the shelf before i focused back on the task at hand.
