We made it to the base safely. Even if we had that close call. Ethan was in the kitchen trying to find a single signal with the battery radio while Romeo was a sleep on the table next to him. I was sitting in the living room with Matvey, sorting out the food that we had gotten outside. "Did you get hurt when you fell?" I asked. Matvey shook his head. "Yeah, you almost did", Ethan said from the kitchen. "What were you thinking?"
"Ethan. He was saving my life", Feliks said even if Ethan didn't sound aggressive but more confused than that. Ethan nodded and turned off the radio. "Not a single signal, it's better not to waste the batteries then", he said. "I will go to sleep, and i will take the night watch", Ethan said and started walking towards the stairs. "Tonight too?" Matvey asked surprised. Ethan just gave us thumbs up.
Romeo woke up and jumped down from the table, going to beg for petting from Matvey who smiled and pet the cat happily.. Cute..
"You really like cats", i said with a smile. "Mhm", Matvey hummed. "We used to have 3 when i was a child. I remember i was down for weeks when one of them died."
I nodded. "That's sad indeed. It's always such a huge loss when a pet dies."
