Kiara's POV
I was at Sarah's house and I was at her vanity putting up my hair up
Since I got annoyed with having it down
As I was doing my hair I couldn't help but notice Sarah was awfully quiet
And she's never quiet so that means something is up
What's going on Sarah I asked concerned
I was wondering why she isn't talking this isn't like her at all
Um So you remember my step brother that I mentioned She said nervously
I was confused why she's mentioning it
She already told me about him
Em yeah you already mentioned him so why are you mentioning it again I said to her baffled
It was unexpected for me you know for everyone in my family but Um he's kinda moving here Sarah said nervously as she let out a big sigh
Here? I asked her confused
Yes here in Outer Banks Sarah said in disbelief like she couldn't belive the news ether
I guess she must really nervous to meet her half brother
Especially since he was hardly in her life and she didn't know about him until later like later on
Well it's kinda of sad story but uh his mom died and he dosnt have any other guardians to look after him so he needed to be with us since uh were the only family he has She told me with a sad frown
she looked like she was about to cry
But what makes your uh step though because you never told me I said still confused as hell
Well you know my dad cheated on my mom when you know When Rafe was little and got her pregnant Sarah said with a shrug
I could tell that she didn't seem thrilled about the story finding out or even knowing that all these years you didn't know about your other sibling
Did your mom ever find out I asked nervously
No She didn't know about it until she had me that's when she found out but she was pregnant with me so uh she wasn't able to leave
Especially since my mom Couldn't before my dad My Mom was a Pogue who fell in love with a kook and she had nothing so what choice did she have you know Sarah said trying to keep her composure
It looked like the more she was having this conversation the more she was about to burst crying just explaining it
Um do you not want to talk about it or I said unsure of the fact I couldn't bear to see my best friend like this
In this state I could tell the subject was quite uncomfortable for her
No Kie it's fine you asked you have the right to know Sarah said with a sigh
Ok um I was just worried-
Kie your my best friend and as your best friend we always tell each other everything so Sarah says with a smile
