Reece had become aware of his sisters date around a week after the note was put into her locker, he was filled with rage but knew he had to bide his time and wait until the night of prom. He knew his little sister would be broken by her dates absence considering she believed Kyle would be at her door but Reece couldn't possibly let that adult man take the young girl to prom.
On the day of prom Reece couldn't hold back any longer, he stormed out the house full of rage and just so happened to know exactly which way Kenny would go to get to the Knight family home, it was the same quiet route as his father used to take after he'd stayed over at one of his newest squeezes houses so that no one would see him and let his now ex wife know of his whereabouts. Reece may have been young when this took place but he wasn't stupid and knew his father's games well considering the amount of times he had stumbled upon his sweet mother silently crying in her room.
Reece made the walk through the back alleys behind his large home and walked up the stone stairs that took you up to the main road, once he had reached the top he stood in silence and waited. It wasn't long before he heard eager footsteps coming up behind him, he turned and his face met with just the person he'd been waiting for, Kenny Killaman. He began to make small talk with the older man who he could tell was insanely uncomfortable. Reece began to question him as to where he was off to at this time, the man was acting seriously shifty as he made up some excuse before attempting to walk off.
Reece saw red and grabbed Kenny by his shoulders before shoving him down the stairs and as he fell the tall blonde began shouting, telling him to stay away from his sister before turning to make sure no one had seen. As he turned his head his eyes met with his girlfriends as he stepped backwards looking horrified, Mia grabbed his hand and promised she wouldn't say a word before kissing his forehead and telling him she would drop him back to his. The two of them drove home in silence, Reece was somehow more stunned than his girlfriend who had witnessed the whole thing, he looked down at his hands a single tear rolling down his face. He felt Mia's hand on his as she squeezed it lightly, "Reecey, it's okay you were just protecting Aut" the red haired woman said with a smile, her last attempt at consoling the devastated man sat next to her.
Reece got out the car once Mia had pulled onto their driveway she told him that she would go and get some food before coming back to him and the two of them could watch Mean Girls, Mia hated that film as Reece knew so her offer touched him deeply. The blonde walked to his front door and looked down to see a bouquet of dead flowers, he picked them up and knocked. The door swung open and his eyes met with his baby sisters, her face was white as she turned and bolted up the stairs to her room.
