So you let Kaveh outside while it was raining to let him look at architectural inspiration and now he's sick. Well, shame on you, you got him sick. Now, if I'm not available, for whatever reason, here's what you should do if you have a sick Kaveh on your hands.
First things first, find a good place for him to rest. Here's the thing you need to know about Kaveh when he's sick. He gets very whiny and pitiful and he complains about everything. So it's best if you put him on a bed surrounded by plenty of blankets and pillows. Make sure he is very comfy and warm or else you'll have a very pouty Kaveh, and trust me, you don't want a pouty Kaveh. It's the most pitiful thing I've ever seen.
Now, I know you may want to kiss those cute, pouty lips of his, but I beg on all that is intellectual to not give into the temptation. Not only is it gross, but it is also completely unsanitary. You might even get yourself sick, and while I consider myself responsible for a sick Kaveh, I am not responsible for a sick you, so please don't give me the extra trouble and workload.
Now, when it comes to feeding Kaveh, he's not that difficult. Just make some warm soup for him, any kind will do, he does love soup after all. It is also important to make sure that he has plenty of fluids to drink, like water or orange juice, he seems to like those.
The real trouble that comes from a sick Kaveh isn't the whining, or the cute, pouty lips, but rather, him crawling out of bed to work on his commissions. If he wants some pencils and papers to draw with, that's fine. What's not fine is when he keeps getting out of bed and stressing himself out trying to make blueprints while sniffling and sneezing all over said blueprints. Be sure to keep an eye on him to make sure he isn't delaying his healing by overworking himself whilst he's sick.
Speaking of sneezing and sniffling, be sure to stock up on tissues, he tends to blow his nose constantly. With the inclusion of tissues, do also grab any ointment or balm for when he blows his nose one too many times and whines about how his nose hurts because he rubbed it sore. Honestly, Kaveh gets so pitiful when he's sick and looks absolutely miserable. It's almost concerning seeing someone so vibrant and joyful like him be so... quiet and despondent when under the weather from something as simple as a cold. He just curls up in his blankets with such a dejected look on his face, you would've thought he was a kicked puppy left out on the rain.
When it comes to taking his medicine, Kaveh isn't too much of a hassle. Sure, he might grumble a little, or whine about how the medicine will taste bad, but he'll take it eventually.
If you ever find yourself with a sick Kaveh on your hands, please let me know at once so I can get some extra medicine or items for his recovery (trust me, he gets very whiny and pouty when I don't. He thinks I want to keep him sick, which I obviously don't). If his condition worsens, then take him to the Birmanstan and call me once more so I know what's going on.
In summary, a sick Kaveh is bound to be a whiny, pouting mess, but as long as you feed himself soup, keep him rested in a comfortable bed, give him his medicine, and make sure he's not doing any commission work, you should be fine. Just remember, under no circumstances should you kiss him. I know it's tempting, but DON'T. And that's all you really need to know on how to deal with a sick Kaveh. Hopefully, he doesn't fall sick anymore under your watch.
A/N: As previously stated in the description, this story is inspired by Latiwings "Teyvat's Guide to Roommates". You can find it on AO3 and the two fics in the series are "Kaveh's Guide to Alhaitham" and "Alhaitham's Guide to Kaveh". Both are pretty short fics and are quite cute and amusing. If you liked this story, you might enjoy those too.
