You sat on the couch in your shared apartment with Solo Sikoa, legs tucked beneath you, scrolling through your phone. It had been a relaxing day, and after your nail appointment earlier, you'd been looking forward to showing off your freshly done manicure. Solo, however, had been too busy when you got home, distracted by a call and some emails from his team.

You weren't offended—this was how Solo was. He had tunnel vision when he focused on something. Still, you wondered how long it would take him to notice.

The nails were perfect. A rich design, alternating between soft nude shades, gold accents, and tiny rhinestones that sparkled when the light hit them just right. Your nail tech had outdone himself, and you couldn't stop admiring your hands.

Solo, meanwhile, sat in the armchair across from you, flipping through a sports channel. His broad shoulders filled the space effortlessly, and he was in his usual outfit—black joggers and a sleeveless hoodie. His focus seemed locked on the TV, his sharp features lit up by the glow of the screen.

You glanced at him out of the corner of your eye, biting back a smile. You wiggled your fingers in the air, just a little, as if testing the shimmer of your nails.

"Do you notice anything different?" you asked teasingly, your voice light.

Solo didn't even look up. "You change your hair?"

You rolled your eyes. "No."

He finally glanced your way, his dark eyes flicking over your face before returning to the TV. "I don't know, baby. You're always looking good, so it's hard to tell."

That earned a laugh from you. "Good save, but no. You'll figure it out eventually."

You went back to your scrolling, pretending not to care. A few minutes passed, and you could feel his gaze flick to you again, then away.

It wasn't until you stretched your arm out, adjusting a throw pillow, that he froze. You caught the movement out of the corner of your eye: a quick glance your way, followed by an immediate double take.

"Wait," Solo said, his voice sharp with curiosity. He leaned forward slightly, his brow furrowed. "Hold on."

You bit back a grin and looked at him innocently. "What?"

He didn't answer immediately. Instead, he tilted his head, his eyes locking onto your hand. "Is that... are those your nails?"

Finally, you stretched your hand out, letting him see the full effect of the design. The gold accents caught the light, sparkling like tiny stars.

"Yeah," you said casually, turning your hand to admire them. "Got them done earlier. You like?"

The reaction was immediate. Solo's jaw dropped slightly, and his dark eyes widened. "Like?" he repeated, his voice pitching up. "What? Babe, they're insane!"

You couldn't help but laugh. "Insane, huh? That good?"

He shifted forward in his seat, resting his elbows on his knees as he leaned closer, his full attention now on you. "Nah, they're more than good. Come here."

You stood up, taking your time as you walked over to him. He was staring at your nails like they were the most mesmerizing thing he'd ever seen. When you reached him, he gently took your hand, cradling it in his much larger one.

"Damn," he murmured, his voice softer now. "These are clean. Who did this? Your nail tech's she got skills."

You smirked, deciding to tease him. "His skills are amazing, aren't they?"

Solo froze, his head snapping up. "His?"

You bit your lip, trying not to laugh at the immediate shift in his expression. His jaw tightened, and his brows furrowed as he stared at you like you'd just said something outrageous.

"Yes, his," you said, your voice playful. "Why? Is that a problem?"

Solo's gaze darkened, his lips pressing into a tight line. "A dude did these?" He gestured toward your nails, his tone almost accusatory.

"Yes, a dude," you emphasized, suppressing a laugh. "And he's the best in the business. That's why they look so good."

Solo leaned back, still holding your hand, and gave you a long, pointed look. "I don't know how I feel about some guy holding your hands for that long," he muttered.

You rolled your eyes, tugging your hand away. "Oh, please. He's a professional. He doesn't care about me like that."

Solo didn't look convinced. "Doesn't matter. He got a little too close to my girl."

You crossed your arms, shaking your head at him. "You're ridiculous, you know that?"

He shrugged, his expression stubborn. "Maybe. But you're mine. No guy should be getting that much one-on-one time with you."

You sighed, sitting down on the armrest of his chair. "Solo, it's his job. He wasn't flirting. He was focused on the nails."

"Still," he muttered, glancing at your hand again. "Next time, I'm coming with you."

You laughed out loud at that. "Oh, so you're just going to sit in the nail salon and glare at him while he works?"

"Maybe," he said, dead serious. "Or I'll learn how to do nails myself."

That earned a full belly laugh from you. "Now that I'd like to see."

Solo smirked faintly, the tension in his face easing slightly. "I'm just saying, babe. You're too fine to be sitting across from some random guy, letting him touch your hands for hours."

You rolled your eyes but leaned down to kiss his cheek. "You're lucky you're cute when you're jealous."

He caught your wrist before you could pull away, bringing your hand back up to admire your nails again. "Jealous or not, these are fire," he said, his voice softening. "And they look even better because you're wearing them."

You smiled, your heart fluttering at the compliment. "So, you forgive the male nail tech?"

He sighed dramatically. "Yeah, fine. But I'm still coming with you next time."

You shook your head, laughing as you settled into his lap. "You're unbelievable, Solo."

"And you're stuck with me," he said with a smirk, pulling you close.

For the rest of the evening, he kept stealing glances at your nails, muttering every now and then about how "insane" they looked and how "lucky" the nail tech was to even touch your hands. It was a mix of possessiveness and admiration, and you couldn't help but feel flattered by how much he cared.
