Strange reports from Huanglong prompted Changli to dispatch the 4th Grade to the area to initiate an investigation.
Camellya began speaking, her eyes pleading as she looked at Gojo. "Come on, please. Let's fight one last time."
Gojo, indifferent, glanced around, his attention fixed on Huanglong. "The school is just assigning a meaningless report."
When Camellya noticed his disinterest, she sighed and sat down, her hands gripping the vines.
Geto, having observed the surroundings as Gojo had, spoke up. "You won't escape work today, Gojo. When has Director Changli ever made a mistake?"
Gojo shook his head and responded, "Haa, when have I ever escaped work? Unless you count this morning's training. Hey, where's Rover, the self-proclaimed hero?"
Camellya, growing frustrated, joined the conversation. "Don't you know? He'll be handling the central operations of Black Shore all year."
Gojo muttered reluctantly, "I'm a little jealous of Rover. But that doesn't mean I'm accepting defeat." He grinned, then added, "Once I solve the cursed technique, Ms. Changli will see who's the best. I'll be an immort—"
Geto cut him off. "Ah, the same old story. Accept it, Gojo. There are limits to what we can do."
Camellya stood, turning to face Geto with determination. "You're wrong. He has the greatest potential I've ever seen. He'll grow into the most beautiful flower in my collection."
Gojo and Geto exchanged a strange glance, and Gojo spoke, his tone thoughtful. "You might be right, Geto..."
As the trio conversed, the warning on Geto's wristband abruptly shifted their focus.
Geto glanced at the display, then silenced the alert. "Activity detected one kilometer north. We must act immediately."Thus began Huanglong's mysterious mission. The trio had barely arrived at the site of the danger warning when the chaotic scene unfolded before them—creatures of chaos, grotesque and restless, scattered across the area like dark omens.
Geto, the leader of the group, climbed a small rise to get a better view. His sharp eyes scanned the writhing masses below as he muttered, "This is the first time I've seen so many of them in one place. What in the world are they doing here?"
Gojo, who had been leaning casually against a nearby tree, slid his signature glasses off his nose and surveyed the field with a flicker of intensity. "They're going underground," he remarked after a moment of silence. His voice, though calm, carried a hint of intrigue. "It's like they're searching for something... or someone."
"Enough talk," Camellya cut in, her tone sharp and indifferent, though her fiery eyes betrayed her excitement. "I'm more interested in the beauty of cutting them down." She drew her blade with a flourish, the edge gleaming as if it too was eager for blood.
Geto let out a long sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose as though bracing himself. "Camellya, you're coming with me," he said firmly, his voice steady but carrying the weight of command. "If you go charging in alone, you'll drag us all into your mess. I'm not letting that happen. Gojo," he continued, turning his gaze to the other, "you'll take the other path. There are two intersections below; we'll regroup there."
Gojo shrugged with his usual nonchalance, sliding his goggles back on. Without another word, he leapt gracefully toward the right side of the field, his landing as flashy as ever. Camellya's lips curved into a sly grin as she sprinted off toward the left, her steps light but brimming with eagerness.
Geto stared after her for a moment, his exasperation evident as he slapped his palm against his forehead. "Leadership," he muttered under his breath, "feels more like a punishment every day." He took off after Camellya, steeling himself for whatever chaos her reckless enthusiasm might unleash.
The creatures below stirred, sensing the approach of their would-be hunters. The air grew thick with anticipation, the battlefield waiting to erupt into mayhem.
