Northern Water tribe -1

Team Avatar arrives at the magnificent Northern Water Tribe, seeking a waterbending teacher for Aang and Katara. The tribe welcomes them with a grand celebration. Aang is introduced to Master Pakku, a highly skilled waterbending master, who agrees to teach him and his "friend".

Y/N : phew it sure was hard getting these people to understand i'm friendly

aang : Yeah 

Sokka : But can you blame them though? your people basica-

Katara : Shut up sokka 

Toph : I don't like this place its so cold and everything is made out of ice what can i even do here

Y/n : *laughing* Finally we're safe from toph hitting us with her bending every moment-

Toph punches Y/n's hand

Y/n : Ow what was tha- oh ok i get it

Toph gives a grin

The next day Aang goes to Master pakku with katara to learn waterbending However, when Katara asks to join the lessons, Pakku refuses, citing tribal tradition: women are only allowed to learn healing.

Aang : Well if you won't teach her then I won't learn from you either

Katara : No aang its fine right now it is important that you learn waterbending 

Pakku : If you wish to waterbend go to the healing huts and practice healing there.

Meanwhile, Sokka meets Princess Yue, the beautiful and kind daughter of the tribe's chief. The two share an instant connection, though Yue is reserved due to her duties as a princess. Sokka humorously tries to win her over

Y/n : Well toph Sokka went to meet his girlfriend and aang and katara are training waterbending so what do we do now

Toph : I dunno you tell me... Which reminds me you said all that about earthbending but your firebending must be pretty weak here as well She smirks

Y/n *nervously* uh well.... yeah whatever just forget  it 

Toph : Hits Y/n again 

Y/n : Ow now what was that for 

Toph : Its my way of showing affection

Y/n : Very funny anyways I guess we could maybe go and look around the tribe-

.

(Silence)

Y/n : Uh No my bad ok i don't know anymore

Toph and Y/n just lay around all day bored waiting for the others to come back from their work

The group returns by evening

Y/n : Hey guys how was waterbending training

Katara : Bad turns out they don't teach women how to fight using waterbending in this tribe

Aang : Yeah we tried to reason with Master pakku but he wouldn't listen

Toph : That actually kinda pisses me off

Sokka : Uh well aang you could just teach katara what you learnt from Pakku.

Aang : Wow why didn't i think of that he's right katara we should go train 

Katara : Alright

Y/n : Did sokka just give a good idea.... Guys this calls for a celebration 

Sokka : Very funny 

Toph : It is.

As Aang teacher katara what he learnt in secret 

"Well, isn't this a surprise."

Katara spun around, her heart leaping into her chest. Master Pakku stood at the edge of the courtyard

Pakku : You Aang have disrespected Me and my culture by this act of defiance you are no longer welcome as my student 

Katara : No-

In the morning Katara and Aang visit the palace again to reason with Pakku and the tribe chief.

"Well i suppose Pakku may reconsider his decision if you apologized sincerely" 

"hm"

Y/n : *Heating up flames in his hand as if ready to knock some sense into Pakku*... Don't you think that's a bit much? The fate of the world depends on Aang learning Waterbending right now.

Katara : No Way am I Apologizing to a sour old man like you *katara says in a very angry tone breaking the things around her by her anger*

Katara : COME OUTSIDE IF YOU'RE MAN ENOUGH TO FIGHT ME

Everyone in the palace including the gang is shocked except for toph and Y/n "Deserved" they said slowly.

Pakku Doesn't take this challenge seriously but as he walks out katara hits pakku in the back of his head with a water whip

Pakku : If a fight is what you want Watch closely

Pakku and Katara duel in an intense battle using waterbending Pakku masterfully countering all her attacks and launching strong attacks at her in return and Katara stands her ground giving him a real fight using everything she can to her advantage

During the fight as he is about to leave after trapping katara Pakku notices Katara's necklace, which he recognizes as the betrothal necklace he gave his former fiancée, Kanna (Katara's grandmother). Kanna left the Northern Tribe decades ago to escape an arranged marriage with Pakku, rejecting the oppressive customs. Realizing his past mistakes, Pakku softens and agrees to teach Katara waterbending.

Y/n : Well guys that was fun wasn't it

Toph : Always great to sense a fight

Aang : I don't know about fun Katara could have gotten hurt but atleast things are normal now

Y/n : Yeah yeah whatever at this point i just wanna use my bending but i get it the people will be intimidated by it here

Toph : Couldn't agree more but whats stopping me isn't the people i don't care about them at all
