It's been a few days since Ulysses had arrived in Remnant. He has found himself now being employed as an assistant to Stacy, but right now now he was in Doctor Oobleck's class learning about Remnant's history. Despite the man's unnaturally fast speech he was able to understand most of what was being said. The bell rings signifying the end of the lesson.
Oobleck: Andthat'stheendofclassenjoyyourbreakeveryone!
The Doctor zooms out the room leaving Ulysses confused. He packs his notebook up and makes his way to Stacy's classroom, along the way he meets Joshua.
Joshua: Ah, Ulysses, how are you doing today?
Ulysses: I am well considering recent events. There are still things I struggle to understand.
Joshua: Such as?
Ulysses: The fast talking Doctor mentioned something about a break?
Joshua: Ah yes. The first semester has ended. This means most of the students will have gone home for the two weeks of holiday.
Ulysses: This means you don't have your job to do in that time?
Joshua: Correct.
Ulysses: So what does one do during this time?
Joshua: I forget that you are not familiar with some of the things we do in this world. More often than not we use this time to unwind.
They reach Stacy's classroom and enter
Joshua: Hello Pigeon.
Stacy: Howdy Graham Cracker. You ready for tomorrow?
Joshua: I am.
Stacy: Cool, and what about you Ulysses?
Ulysses: What?
Stacy: What are going you to do during the break?
Ulysses: I don't know. Probably familiarize myself with this world's customs.
Stacy frowns hearing this
Stacy: Aren't you gonna ya know, relax?
Ulysses: Learning helps me relax.
Stacy: You're weird you know that?
Ulysses: So I've been told. I think I'll go talk to Miss Goodwitch about some more books on History.
Ulysses leaves the room as Joshua and Stacy share a bewildered look.
The next day
Joshua and Stacy catch a Bullhead to Vale, once there they head to the coast. Stacy wanted to spend at the beach with Joshua while the weather was still pleasant and before the leaves start to turn. The soon arrive at the beach.
Stacy: Ah the beach. Ain't it just beautiful? Oh by the way I booked us one of those small hut things that you can change and leave your stuff in!
Joshua: As much as I appreciate the idea, I am afraid I didn't bring any "beach clothes".
Stacy: Oh don't worry. I had your mom send me your sizes and bought some for you anyways!
Stacy gives Joshua a bright grin while he just blinks a few times before sighing and muttering something about mothers and their antics.
Stacy and Joshua go their hut and get changed Stacy is the first one out. She had chosen to wear a black one piece swimming costume with the number 21 in yellow on front and back.
Stacy: Hurry up Graham Cracker!
Joshua exits the hut, his usual white shirt and police vest replaced with an orange Hawaiian pattern button up shirt, his jeans replaced with a pair of blue swimming trunks. He I'd even wearing a pair of sunglasses.
Stacy: Looking good.
Joshua: Thank you, although I am not used to wearing anything other than what I usually wear.
Stacy: *grins* Don't worry I won't make you start changing your style. These clothes are just for the beach so don't worry.
Joshua: Thank you, but I do hope you don't plan on me joining you for a swim.
At Joshua's question Stacy bursts out laughing
Stacy: Haha, Oh, no! *clutches her sides* No, I don't! I know how sensitive your skin is.
Joshua can't help but chuckle at the realization of how silly his question was.
They head the sand, Johua carrying a cooler box, the umbrella, and the beach chairs, Stacy was carrying a bag holding some towels, as soon as they step onto the sand Stacy stops dead in her tracks. Joshua sees what made her stop so quickly. A rather large crab was scuttling across the sands right infront of them while wielding a large kitchen knife. As soon as it's gone Joshua and Stacy find a spot to put up the umbrella, beach chairs Stacy brought along, but made Joshua carry.
Stacy: I'm gonna go for a quick dip.
Joshua: I'll be under the umbrella.
Joshua sits down and opens the cooler box, he pulls out a glass cola bottle. He pops the bottle open and pockets the cap. He leans back in his chair for a quick nap.
A few minutes later.
???: Hey isn't that Mr Graham?
Joshua lifts his shades slightly to see Team RWBY and JNPR also dressed for the beach.
Stacy: And here I was thinking we could have a peaceful day at the beach.
Everyone looks to see Stacy walking to her and Joshua's spot, wringing the seawater out of her hair.
Jeane: Hi, Stacy.
Weiss: Are you sure it's wise to greet a teacher so casually?
Jeane: Yeah? Is there a problem?
Yang: None at all it just that...
Ruby: You seem so umm...
Blake: What they're trying to say is that you are rather friendly with Miss Six.
Everyone looks blankly at Team RWBY.
Weiss: Alright, what's with the looks?
Nora: Seriously?!
Yang: What?
Ren: You haven't figured it out?
Pyrrha: You really don't know?
Blake: Don't know what?
A tumbleweed rolls by.
Stacy: Why is there a tumbleweed on the beach?
Nora: *exasperated* Miss Six and Mr Graham are dating! How did you never figure out?!
A few moments pass.
Yang: Ohhh. It all makes sense now!
Ruby: I mean there was the family day where Miss Stacy was getting along with Mr Graham's parents.
Joshua: Perhaps if you're Team wasn't so focused on performing acts of vigilantism you'd know what actually happens at Beacon.
Yang: Hey come on! You know that-
Joshua lifts his hand up to stop her
Joshua: It is the break, we've all had an interesting first semester. I'm not up for any shenanigans, tomfoolery or hoodlum nonsense right now. Go have fun and keep property damage to a minimum.
The Teams leave Joshua and Stacy alone as go do their own thing.
Stacy: You alright?
Joshua: Yes, why?
Stacy: I've just never heard you speak to the learners like that.
Joshua: *takes a sip of his cola* I'm on holiday and so are some of my manners.
Joshua spend the rest of the day sitting on the beach.

A/N: Hey, I know this chapter is kinda short, my mind is not cooperating, I'll probably do a chapter for Ulysses while Joshua and Stacy are at the beach, plus I know I said I would try and post more chapters during December but my PC's power supply gave up so I had to wait to get paid at the end of December so I could get it replaced. Good news is I should be able to post more chapters again!
