Ana's POV:

I woke up and lay in bed for a while, staring at the ceiling to fully wake up. Gradually, I got out of bed and neatly arranged the sheets and blanket. After taking a shower, I got ready for the day and packed some clothes for my new job as an in-home caregiver. I sighed as I finished packing and sat on the bed, looking around my small, cozy apartment with a bittersweet smile. "I'll miss you," I whispered to my apartment. Then, I picked up my bag and left, walking toward my new job.

After a while, I arrived at the address I had been given and stood in front of a large, luxurious house. I had never seen a place like this from the inside; it would be my first time. Feeling a bit nervous, I opened the gate and approached the watchman.

"Who are you, miss?" he asked.

"Hello, I'm Kim Ana. I'm here for my job as a caregiver for Mr. Min," I replied politely.

"Oh yes, this way please," he said, leading me inside the house.

The watchman brought me into the house and introduced me to a woman in her fifties.

"Hello, Ma'am," I said politely.

"Oh no, dear. I'm not a Ma'am; I'm just a maid. My name is Maria," she replied with a smile.

"Hello, Miss Maria. I'm Ana. It's nice to meet you," I said, smiling back.

"Ana? That's a lovely name. So, you're here to take care of Mr. Min?"

"Yes, his parents hired me. They should have told you I was coming today," I explained.

"Yes, they did. Come, I'll show you around the house and your room."

I nodded and followed her. She guided me through the house and then opened the door to a room.

"This will be your room. I cleaned it up since I heard you were coming," she said with a smile.

I looked around and smiled back. "Thank you, Miss Maria."

"No problem, dear. It's my job. If you need anything, just ask, okay?"

I nodded, smiling. "I'll remember that. Thanks again, Miss Maria."

She smiled and started to leave, but I called out to her.

"Uh, Miss Maria?"

She turned with curiosity. "Yes, dear? Is there a problem?"

I smiled slightly and asked, "Uh, Mr. Min... where is he? I'd like to meet him since that's why I'm here, right?"

She nodded and said, "Yes, I understand. You can unpack your things, and then I'll take you to his room. Just so you know, Yoongi doesn't like this situation. He hates needing help and doesn't want a caregiver, but Mr. and Mrs. Min keep sending new people anyway."

"Huh? What do you mean?" I asked, feeling puzzled.

She smiled at my confusion and replied,
"You know Yoongi is in a wheelchair, right?"

"Yes, his parents mentioned it to me."

"Alright. Just so you know, he doesn't like accepting help from anyone, especially his parents, since they left him after his accident."

"W-what?" I said, shocked.
"How could they do that to their own son?"

"I'm not sure. They keep sending caregivers, but no one stays."

"What do you mean by no one stays?" I asked, even more confused.

She sighed and explained,
"Yoongi is always in a bad mood and doesn't listen to anyone, so no caregiver lasts more than a week."

"Oh", I said, understanding now.

She looked at me for a moment and said,
"I hope you won't leave like the others."

I shook my head and replied,
"No, Miss Maria, I won't. Trust me. I'll do my best to stay and take care of him."

She smiled and said,
"I hope so. Now unpack your things and meet me later. I'll take you to Yoongi's room. I'll be in the kitchen, okay?"

I nodded as she left me alone in the room. I looked around and smiled; "this room is nice, but I miss my apartment." I said to myself and started unpacking, putting my clothes in the cupboard and my daily items in front of the mirror. Then I decided to go find Miss Maria in the kitchen.

I walked to the kitchen and saw Miss Maria cooking lunch. I smiled and approached her.

"Do you need any help, Miss Maria?"

She looked at me and smiled,
"Oh no, dear, I'm almost finished. You arrived just in time; I was about to take lunch to Yoongi's room. You can come with me, and I'll introduce you to him. Sound good?"

"Okay", I said with a smile. "Can I ask you something, Miss Maria?"

"Of course, dear, you can ask me anything."

I smiled and asked,
"Can I call you Aunty?"

She looked surprised but smiled back,
"Of course, dear! I'd love that. Please call me Aunty."

I grinned broadly.

"Thank you so much, Miss Mari-oh, I mean Aunty." I said with a shy smile.

She laughed at my slip and replied, "No problem. Let's go." She picked up a tray of food.

I nodded. "Oh yes, after you."

I followed her as she headed toward Mr. Min's room, but the watchman stopped us, and we both turned to look at him.

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"Someone came asking for you," he replied.

"Okay, I'm coming," she said, handing the tray to me. "Dear, I have to go. Can you please take this food to Yoongi's room?"

I nodded. "Of course, Aunty. It's my job from today, so don't worry. I'll deliver it."

She smiled and said, "By the way, he already knows you're here. I told him this morning." Then she left.

I took a deep breath and stood in front of his closed door, knocking gently. After a moment, a deep voice called from inside, "Come in." I opened the door and stepped inside, finding him in a wheelchair, looking out the window with his back to me.

"Uh, Mr. Min, I'm here to bring you your lunch," I said.
