Min Yoongi is a man in a wheelchair due to an accident. He is cold, stubborn, and grumpy, feeling hopeless because everyone, including his parents, has left him. However, a new caretaker enters his life. Can she restore his hope and trust in others...
She said making him turn to her, then back to the screen, and again to her, struggling to grasp the reality of the situation. His eyes grew wide as he noticed the video playing on her phone. For a moment, he was captivated by the sight of himself playing the violin, completely immersed in the melody. The number of views and comments reflected its immense popularity.
"Wow, Ana,"
he exclaimed, a blend of surprise and admiration in his tone.
"I... I never expected... this."
He took a brief pause, trying to process the sudden recognition his passion was garnering.
"You posted this? On Instagram? People are actually... watching me perform?"
Her face lit up with a big smile as she replied enthusiastically,
"Not only are they watching, but look at all the likes and views! Your video has over a million views since I uploaded it just yesterday. They adore your music! And check out all these positive comments."
She scrolled through the feedback, showing him the screen.
"I’m so thrilled for you, Yoongi... You really did it."
She smiled brightly at him, unsure of what had just occurred in her and In a burst of joy and excitement, she almost hugged him but caught herself just in time.
Instead, she placed her hands gently on his shoulders while he remained focused on her phone screen. He grinned faintly, relishing the warmth of her hands resting there.
"I-I can't believe that millions of people liked the video... I-I'm not that special,"
he said, still in shock, unaccustomed to receiving such attention.
She gave him a look that clearly said, are you serious? and replied,
"Are you joking? You really underestimate yourself, huh? Don't trust those negative thoughts; just believe me and all those millions of viewers, alright?"
Yoongi appeared a bit taken aback by the expression on Ana's face.
"I-I'm not underestimating myself; I'm just being realistic... I'm not that talented,"
he insisted, attempting to refute her claim, yet deep down, he recognized she was right. He had always been his own harshest critic, making it hard for him to accept that so many people appreciated his video.
With a slight shake of her head and a small smile, she crossed her arms over her chest knowing she can't really make him understand what she really meant, alone with her words. so she just decided to play along
"Okay... then just keep being not that great, hmm? And soon enough, you'll achieve all your dreams..."
she said with a grin, giving his back a gentle pat like a caring and proud aunt before leaving his room.
Yoongi couldn't help but smile at her words and the way she affectionately patted his back. He shook his head in amusement as she exited. He tried to dismiss it again, but he knew the truth within himself.
"Idiot..." he muttered under his breath, referring to himself, fully aware that she was right. He glanced back at the video, still in disbelief, but a smile began to form at the corners of his lips.
Ana dashed into her room and shut the door, leaning against it. She let out a chuckle, recalling how she had patted his back as if he were a little child, gently hitting her forehead in disbelief at her own foolishness.
But then her smile faded as she remembered the moment she almost hugged him earlier, driven by excitement.
Was it merely excitement, or was there something deeper? She shook her head, reminding herself it was simply her joy for him, yet she silently thanked herself for stopping just in time; otherwise, she wasn't sure how he would have reacted, especially since he wasn't fond of being touched.
She let out a soft sigh, feeling a sense of relief, but she couldn't shake off the slight flutter in her heart as she imagined what it would be like to embrace him - oh no, she couldn't dwell on that. She was merely his caretaker, even though he referred to her as a friend because she had insisted they be best friends. She reminded herself of this, but her heart was already wandering down a different path.
Meanwhile, Yoongi found himself alone in his room, surrounded by his thoughts. A smile crept onto his face as he recalled how Ana had gently patted his back, radiating pride in him.

He kept watching the video on her phone, still amazed by the comments and views. Yet, for some inexplicable reason, his thoughts began to drift. He reflected on Ana and her unwavering warmth and care for him, how she always lent an ear and offered help, despite his grumpy demeanor as a man in a wheelchair. He felt immense gratitude for having such a supportive and encouraging friend in his life.
Her presence in his life was like a beam of sunlight piercing through a long-standing darkness, transforming her role from merely a caretaker to a true friend, albeit one who had somewhat forced this friendship upon him. He chuckled at the memory of how she had insisted on being his friend, a gesture for which he was now deeply thankful.
Determined to make her even prouder, he resolved to improve himself for her sake, as she was the one who had reignited his dreams when he had long since stopped dreaming. He promised himself that he would strive to get better, and with that commitment, he set the phone aside, rested his violin on his shoulder, and began to practice, losing himself in the soothing waves of his music... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
