Chapter 36: Felt Ashamed

Next morning Allison came to Austin's room and looking at his big bright eyes and cheerful giggles she smile and get him ready for the day.

Holding his small, soft,warm body in her arms she play with him for a while. enjoying the warm and peaceful morning and his giggle rang in the room. after a while she put him in the pram and feed him the bottle of milk. The rhythmic suckling, the soft sounds of him drinking, filled the air with comfort.

Looking at her small angel she couldn't help but smile.he was the one who pull her out of abyss and made her smile when she was depressed and in the darkness. saw was lost and walking towards the unknown future. but this little angel filled her heart with warmth and gave her hope. the life with him was peaceful and so full filling everyday, his giggle,his smile, his bright innocent eyes, that make her she forget the painful past.

The sound of a soft knock on the door interrupted her quiet moment. The steward’s voice was polite, “Mr. Blake is asking for you to come downstairs for breakfast, Miss.”

Allison stunned for a moment but after a moment she nodded and went downstairs to the dinning area.

He looked imposing in his black formal suit, his presence so strong that it filled the room like a shadow. Behind him stood his assistant

She walk towards him and greeted "Good morning sir"

Mr. Blake’s sharp gaze lifted from his meal, his expression unreadable. With a brief nod,
"Sit" He said

Allison look at him and she sat down,  A maid brought over a plate of food, the aroma filling the air.

The clink of silver against porcelain was the only sound accompanying their meal. The maid moved soundlessly, their soft footsteps barely making a ripple in the otherwise still room.

Allison felt little odd at the sudden change. she glance at Mr Blake from the corner of the eyes.

He was eating his breakfast very elegantly. he look so noble and unapproachable. very majestic. she pick up the toast and took a bite.

Suddenly Mr blake said."Today wedding planner will come you can discuss your choices and preference with her about the engagement party."

Allison looked up at him, her mouth half-open as she processed his words. “Engagement party?” she repeated, her voice hesitant. “But… it’s so sudden…”

"Yes, it will be held in a week" Mr blake inform her about the date and Allison look at him in complete shock 'so soon'.

She felt lost. She had no experience with engagement parties, let alone planning one. In her eighteen years, she could count the parties she’d attended on one hand. The idea of such a big event in just a week overwhelmed her.

"I... I have no idea what to do," she confessed, her voice quiet, a hint of embarrassment in her eyes as she looked at him, feeling ashamed and unprepared.
