Sunday dawned slowly, with the sun casting a soft golden light through the dorm windows. The weekend had been a whirlwind, filled with excitement, sports, and late-night snacks, but now there was a welcome sense of calm. Silas woke first, blinking sleepily at the ceiling as he stretched and reached over to turn off his alarm. The soft morning light felt gentle on his fur, and for a moment, it was just him and the quiet of the room.

Kael was still asleep beside him, the white fox curled up tightly in the covers. His black-tipped ears twitched lightly, and Silas smiled softly, careful not to disturb him. He was always the last to wake up, often needing a few extra moments to gather himself after the busy pace of the week. Silas quietly got out of bed and grabbed a hoodie, then tiptoed out of the room to make coffee, letting Kael sleep in.

Downstairs in the shared common area, Daniel was already awake and had apparently made himself at home, sitting with his feet kicked up on one of the couches while Ghost was rummaging through the kitchen. The blue tiba was bouncing around energetically, tossing open cabinets with no real plan other than to make something happen.

"Hey, good morning, Silas!" Daniel greeted with a wide grin. "I see you've survived the weekend. You in for a lazy Sunday?"

"Yeah, sounds good," Silas replied, rubbing his eyes as he made his way over to the coffee maker. "I think Kael will be sleeping for another hour or so, at least."

"No surprise there," Daniel teased, chuckling as he tossed a pillow at Ghost. "He's the king of naps."

Ghost finally pulled out a box of cereal, clearly in search of the quickest breakfast option. "Ugh, cereal again? We need a breakfast revolution," they grumbled. "Something fun. Something with syrup."

"Not every breakfast needs syrup, Ghost," Daniel said with a smirk. "Some of us prefer not to drown in sweetness before 10 a.m."

"Well, you're no fun, Daniel," Ghost shot back, but their grin made it clear they weren't truly bothered. "You know what would be fun? A game of tag around the dorm."

"I'll pass," Silas muttered, pouring himself a cup of coffee. "It's too early for that kind of energy."

"I vote we start slow," Daniel suggested, his tail flicking behind him. "Maybe some movies. Or a board game?"

The idea of staying in and taking things easy was just what Silas needed. He leaned back against the counter, letting the warmth of the coffee fill him. "A movie sounds good," he said, relaxing a little.

Ghost raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. "Alright, but only if we can make it themed. Like... a retro 80s movie marathon. Think big hair, neon, and bad special effects."

Daniel perked up. "Now you're speaking my language. I'm in."

As the trio chatted and debated over movie choices, Kael eventually wandered into the common area, rubbing his eyes and stretching as he made his way to the couch. His black-tipped ears flicked toward the conversation, his voice groggy but warm. "What's going on?"

"Movie marathon, if we're lucky," Silas said, tossing Kael a lazy grin. "If you want to join, you're gonna have to endure retro cinema."

Kael raised an eyebrow, clearly not impressed by the idea. "Retro? How bad are we talking?"

"Bad," Ghost said cheerfully, "but in the best possible way. You'll survive."

Kael let out a long sigh, but the faintest smile tugged at his lips. "Alright. Fine. I'll make the best of it."

"Good man," Daniel said, holding up a fist as Kael slumped onto the couch beside him. "We'll keep the cringe level at maximum. Trust me, you'll be hooked by the second one."
