I looked around me as I entered the audition room. The walls were adorned with pictures of famous actors and framed playbills. In the center of the room was a black fold out table, sitting at the table was the infamous Harry Styles.

He was sat in between a blonde-haired man and a woman with long gold locks. The two smiled kindly at me as I handed the girl my headshot. Harry just looked bored.

"Good morning, Louis!" The woman said warmly.

"Good morning, Miss?" I asked.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Amelia, I'm the assistant director." She chirped.

Harry scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"Ignore him." The blonde-haired boy said tiredly. He had an Irish accent that was very endearing.

"The name's Niall, I'm the stage manager here at the Opera." he said jokingly.

I looked over at Harry expecting him to introduce himself just as the others did.

"Are you going to act or can we all go home?" He muttered.

I was taken aback. Niall hit Harry in the arm softly as a way to reprimand his poor attitude and behavior.

"We're ready whenever you're ready sweetheart." Amelia said with a big smile.

I swallowed nervously and began to act out my lines.

"You have come here, in pursuit of your deepest urge. In pursuit of that wish which 'til now has been silent... SILENT! I have brought you, that our passions may fuse and merge. In your mind you've already sucummed to me. Dropped all defenses, completely sucummed to me. Now you are here with me. No second thoughts. You've decided... DECIDED! Past the point of no return. No backward glances... our games of make-believe are at an end! Past all thought of if or when. No use resisting... abandon thought and let the dream descend! What raging fire shall flood the soul? What rich desires unlock its door? What sweet seductions lie before us? Past the point of no return. The final threshold... what warm unspoken secrets will we learn? Beyond the point of no... return!"

I raised my voice at all the right times, used my hands to express emotion just as I had seen former Phantoms perform. It was my best performance. By the end of it I was red in the face with all the emotion I had put into it.

I began to hear the sound of clapping and looked over to the panel to see Niall jumping from his chair and smirking at me. Amelia quickly joined him clapping at an even faster pace. Harry just stayed seated but if I wasn't mistaken, I swear I could see a hint of a smile on his face as he looked down at his notepad.

"Harry, I mean come on now. There's no doubt about it. This is our phantom." Niall said looking down at Harry.

"Wow. Never in my four years of directing have I ever seen such a performance." I looked over at Amelia to see her wiping her eyes trying to avoid smudging her mascara.

"Four" Harry scoffed shaking his head.

"Harry, he's perfect." Niall said exasperatedly.

"Let's hear him sing first, huh?" Harry said, lifting his head to look at me.

I had seen Harry in magazines and newspapers of course, but nothing could've prepared me for the way he looked at me. His green eyes seemed to stare straight into my soul. I was captivated by the way his long brown curls fell perfectly on his broad shoulders. There was no lie, he was beautiful.

"Oh right, singing is important." Niall said as he and Amelia sat back down.

I broke my eye contact with Harry and cleared my throat.
