Stephanie couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt that had settled in her stomach. She had lied to Rachel, her best friend, and it didn't sit well with her.

As she went about her day, Stephanie couldn't help but wonder if she was losing herself in the process. She had always prided herself on being honest and transparent, but now she felt like she was hiding behind a mask of deceit.

The more she thought about it, the more Stephanie realized that her feelings for Christopher were not just a simple crush. They were a symptom of a deeper issue - an issue that threatened to upend her entire life.

Stephanie's mind was a jumble of emotions as she tried to navigate the treacherous waters of her own heart.

( The next day morning at office )

Stephanie was sitting at her desk, trying to focus on her work, when Christopher appeared in her doorway.

"Stephanie, can I talk to you for a minute?" he asked, his eyes locked onto hers.

she nodded, trying to play it cool.

Christopher walked into her office, closing the door behind him.

"I wanted to follow up on our conversation earlier," he said, his voice low and husky. "I have to admit, I'm really drawn to you, Stephanie."

Stephanie's face flushed as she tried to process her emotions.

"I...I don't know what to say," she stuttered.

Christopher took a step closer to her, placed his hands on her shoulder.

"I think you do," he whispered. "I think you feel the same way."

She took a step back, removing his hand, her expression unreadable.

"I don't know what to say," she said, her voice measured. "I have a family... I am married. I know I'm late to mention that, but I am. I have to focus on my work and my family. This... isn't going to work."

With that, she turned and left the room, leaving Christopher bewildered.

As she reached the door, she paused and said, "I'll be back in ten minutes. I need to complete some paperwork on the sale."

She walked out, leaving Christopher to wonder what had just happened.

Christopher's thoughts swirled in confusion. "Why is she rejecting me? How can she just dismiss me like that? How is my plan going to work now?"
Need to persuade her!

When Stephanie arrived home from work, someone knocked on the door, when she opened it,she was surprised to find Ryan standing at the door, a big smile on his face. "Surprise!" he exclaimed.

Stephanie's eyes widened in surprise. "Ryan, you're back! Why are you home so early?"

Ryan's smile faltered for a moment. "Is everything okay? You seem a bit... off."

Stephanie quickly shook her head. "No, no, everything's fine. I'm just a bit... preoccupied, that's all."

Ryan's eyes narrowed slightly, but he didn't press the issue. "Okay, well, I'm home now. How about I take a break and we catch up?"

Stephanie forced a smile and nodded. "Sounds great. I'll make us some coffee."

As they sat on the couch, sipping their coffee and chatting, Stephanie's phone buzzed with an incoming text. She glanced at the screen and her heart sank. It was Christopher.

"Hey there, why are you acting like this?" Christopher's text read. "We've shared a bed, kissed, done everything... and now you're rejecting me?"

Stephanie quickly silenced her phone and shoved it aside, trying to compose herself.
