Chapter 3. Promise

Hi! So I have 4 things before I start.

So when I started this book I didn't think that anyone would actually read it let alone follow me, which is why this chapter is dedicated to my first follower, @lucayaandfiley5678

I just watched Girl Meets Mr. Squirrels Goes to Washington and OMG MAYA CALLED LUCAS BY HIS ACTUAL NAME FOR THE SECOND TIME EVER LUCAYA DID ANYONE ELSE REACT LIKE THIS OR IS IT JUST ME??!?!?!?

I also just watched Girl Meets New Teacher and I loved it because it had a ton of DC stuff and I love the dark knight returns. They also wanted batman to win in a fight AND OMG I LOVE BATMAN. Also had a lot on Maya which made me relate to her even more and MAYA SAID SHE WANTED TO BE A TEACHER OMG I LOVE IT! There was also a hint of lucaya because of Auggies "Archie" comic because he said the main character and a blonde girl liked the SAME GUY and they stayed friends.

Please read my previous update cause I think I have a really good idea but I want your thoughts.

I have also been forgetting a disclaimer so I DO NOT OWN GIRL MEETS WORLD AND IF I DID LUCAYA AND FILEY WOULD BE CANON!

Maya POV

What? Why would he ask that question? Of course I don't hate Lucas. Oh yeah. Maybe all the nicknames gave him the wrong idea..

"Of course I don't hate you. There's only one person in this world that I hate."

"And who would that be?" Lucas asks.

"Myself." I say, dreading his reaction.

"Maya," he starts, "Why do you hate yourself? Your and incredible person and..."

"And what?"

"And I just want you to be okay."

"You really mean that, you think I'm incredible?"

"Yes, I do." He smiles at me. I smile at my hands.

"No one has ever said that to me before."

Lucas POV

              Wow. That made me feel like a horrible person. Even though I didn't do anything, I felt awful that her life is like this. No one ever tells her how amazing she is. I'm gonna change that. 

"Maya, you have to stop hurting yourself. Its not ok. I'm here for you, so are Riley and Farkle. We all care about you. Promise me that you'll stop." I say, truly meaning every word. 

"Ok. I promise."

"Good. I got to go, you'll be ok?" I say as I stand up.

"I'm always ok."

"Ok. Bye Maya"

"Wait Lucas, can I ask you a question?"

"Sure" I respond as I sit back down. 

"Why do you care so much about me? All I ever do is call you names, and your still so nice to me. Why?"

"I don't know. I just know that I care about you and I want you to feel like you belong. Like you have people out there for you."

"You know, you really will make someone a wonderful fortune cookie someday." Maya says as I stand up. I laugh.

"Bye Maya"

"Bye Lucas"

                 I crawl through her window and walk home. My mom isn't home and I'm not hungry so I go to bed. The last thing I thought of before I fell asleep was how much I care about Maya.

Maya POV

                After Lucas leaves I get up and brush my teeth. Yuck, my breath reacked. I hope he didn't notice. I climb back into bed and dream of Lucas.

Sorry about my long an at the beginning but I had a lot to say. Also I just now realized they've been in the same place for 3 chapters so I'll try not to do that anymore. Please give me feedback for my idea, and let me know if you have any ideas for this story. I'll try to get Farkle in the next chapter. BYE!
