She sat up all night thinking of what to say to him, She just has to find him at the right time. He can't reject her, she thought, Wait. Don't get too cocky-

She was strutting down the hallways, gaining curious glances from her fellow students at her sudden surge of confidence. She spotted Cedric out of the corner of her eye, She can't back out now. She threw back her hair and approached Cedric with a confident smile. Where did all the anxiousness go now? Cedric turned to look at her, politely surprised at her sudden appearance "Oh, er, hi, Holly. How're you?" He said sort of awkwardly as Holly just stood there, looking up at him with the same annoyingly confident smile.
"I'm doing perfectly fine. I just wanted to ask you one thing if you don't mind." She said as Cedric quirked an eyebrow. "I don't mind, go on." Holly took a deep breath, damn it all. "Would you like to go to the Ball with me?" Cedric blinked a few times before clearing his throat. "As much as I would like to go with you, Holly," he started, "I'm sorry, I'm already going with someone."
Of course he was going with someone. What did she expect? Of course someone would have already bagged him. She felt extremely irritated at that thought but composed herself "Oh. Who is that you're going with, if you don't mind me asking?" She asked, her confident facade disappearing. "Cho." He replied, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck.
Cho Chang. Cho effing Chang. Holly felt like punching something as she made her way to the Library. Of course that Ravenclaw had beat her to it. Who was she supposed to go with now? Plenty of names came to her mind. There was Seamus but she'd rather take a Hyppogriff than take him-
Thump.
She bumped into someone, hard, which broke her reverie. Angry and head throbbing, she looked up to see who it was and it was none other than the blonde previously mentioned.
