A/N: okay now I'm having real fun
Holly made her way up to the Gryffindor common room, approaching the Fat Lady before muttering the password to her, still somewhat shocked at the turn of events a few minutes before.
The portrait swinged open and she made her way into the room. She was met with an anxious looking Hermione and Ginny alongside her who looked, if anything, amused. "Holly! Where have you been?" Hermione asked her as Ginny listened in on the conversation. "Just got held back by Professor Snape, I dropped bezoars all over the floor so I had to pick 'em up." Holly lied through her teeth. Ginny looked as if she didn't believe her but she didn't question her either.
"Oh, alright. Well, you missed lunch." Hermione said to her as Holly realized just how hungry she is right now. "Don't worry, Mione. I wasn't even hungry anyways." That, obviously, was a lie too.
***"Okay, now, tell me truthfully. Where were you during lunch?" Ginny asked her a few hours later as the common room had completely emptied up. "I told you, Ginny. I got held back by Professor Snape." Holly lied again but she knew Ginny could see right through her.
"Bullshit. Now, spill." Ginny said firmly. And with that, Holly explained every single thing that had happened when she had disappeared.
"Holly! You can't be serious. Malfoy? Seriously?" Ginny asked, equally as shocked as Holly was when Draco had asked her to the ball.
"Look, I couldn't help it alright? He just sort of- cornered me and I just had to... say yes.."
"Wait 'til the others learn about this.. they won't let you hear the end of it." Ginny said, somewhat amused and somewhat concerned. "I know. That's if you tell them." Holly eyed Ginny suspiciously, "You won't, right?" Ginny stayed silent for a moment, contemplating whether or not to agree, this could lead to some rather juicy drama.. but, owing to their friendship, she shook her head. "Of course not."
Holly sighed, relieved, and sat back against the armchair, staring at the fire. The feeling of going with Draco.. the guy she had fancied for a while now made her happy. Although Cedric had rejected her because of stupid Chang, she was still happy. She was going with Draco, after all. But how Harry would react if he found out.. And she hates to imagine the look on her father, Sirius's face if Harry told him that she was going with Draco, Lucius Malfoy's son...
