A/N: here comes the dude you've been waitin for.
Damn it. Draco was the last person Holly would want to bump into right now. He loomed over her with that insufferable smirk of his as Holly tried to look indifferent although her stomach was doing flips. Draco and her got on pretty well, considering Holly was a Gryffindor but she really didn't want to meet him right now.
"Saw what happened in the hallway." He drawled, "Pretty embarrassing if you ask me." he said, irritably. "Yeah, I don't want you rubbing it in my face." Holly shot back, annoyed. Draco's eyebrow's shot up dramatically "Is that a way of talking to your friend?"
"Friend? Oh, please. I'd rather jump off the Astronomy Tower than be your friend." Holly thought he'd take the hint that she didn't want to talk to him and leave but of course, he didn't."C'mon, Holly. I'm just trying to have a nice chat with you-" Draco got cut off by Holly as she said aggravatingly, "I know that's not the only reason you're sticking around for, Malfoy. So how about you just get to the point?" She crossed her arms over her chest and quirked an eyebrow at him, expecting him to confess to what his actual motives are.
"You want to know what my true motives are, huh?" He said, amused, as if he had read Holly's mind.
"Spare me the allegations, I'm not trying to do anything... funny." He said, leaning in closer. It was almost annoying. Although her cheeks were tinted pink at his close proximity she still held her head up defiantly."Sure doesn't look like it." Holly said, still standing her ground. Draco's eyes searched her face, smirking even more at the light pink blush that creeped up her face. "You aren't going with anyone to the ball, am I right?" She was caught a bit off-guard at the question but composed herself once more before responding, "Yeah. Why does it matter to you?"
Draco chuckled at that. "I was wondering.." He started as the pads of his fingers brushed over her cheek, "If you wanted to go with me?"
what the hell- this can't be happening.. "Uh.. I um..." Holly was so stunned to the point of barely being able to speak. "Yeah, sure- I mean, why not?""Yeah, sure- I mean, why not?" Draco poorly mimicked Holly in a high-pitched voice before chuckling and suddenly pulling away, leaving her with a slight feeling of emptiness at the loss of contact.
"See you later at the ball, love." He said the pet-name in a mocking way before flashing her a smile and walking away, with Holly staring after him.
What the hell just happened...? She's going to the ball with Draco Malfoy- That's a bit too much to comprehend. She never would've thought that she'd be going to a ball with him of all people but it made her feel somewhat... giddy. Hey, at least she has a date now!
