Chapter 10

Dhwani

I can't stop but close my eyes as his kisses travels from my jaw to neck.His left hand holding my waist as his right one holding the side of my face.

"D-Dev what are y-you doing?"

I kept moaning his name and a gasp emitted from me as his teeth sink on my skin.

Shit

"Omg" I woke up in bed,panting.

Is that a dream?But it felt so real.I cringed at the memory as I taps my neck for any sign but found nothing.

Neha will freak out if I say this to her I'm sure.I sighed and took my phone and it read 11 PM.

Tiptoeing from my room I reached our porch.Should I go to her house?

My family is morning people so everyone is asleep now.I put on my flip floss and walked towards Neha's house that attached to their homestay.The moon is so bright today illuminating it's beauty.Before I enter her house I can hear laughing and giggles from the side.

There she is.Neha is blabbering something and Aayush is giving her heart eyes next to her.

"You didn't sleep yet?" I asked them

"No we're not weird like you" She sticks out her tongue

Where is him?Is it ok if I ask

"Umm you two only here?"

"Dev is near balcony" Aayush says with a teasing smile

"I was just asking"

"Yeah we know" Neha says and continues her talk

I made my way towards the balcony and there he is showing off his huge back.

Stop drooling Dhwani. I shakes my head and walked to him.

"Hey"

"Hey,you didn't sleep yet?" He asks,smiling

"Umm no couldn't sleep"

We didn't said anything for a while,just admired moonlight hit on the backwater making a silver reflection.Stars shined bright that they appear like diamonds spread on velvet.I sighed contently.

"You never said anything about you" He says out of nowhere

"Huh you know me"

"Yeah yeah but not like in detail,we never got time to talk but fight right." He chuckles making my heart stop.

God,that smile! I've never seen him smiling like this and it's dangerous I like it.

"I definitely know about your family now.. they're good" He says again

"How about yours"

".... Let's not talk about that"

I don't know what is wrong but I didn't pushed him.I can't help but look at his features in moonlight.His sharp jaw,nose,brown eyes,black hair,thick brows,stubble a-and his rosy lips.

"You're staring" He says without looking at me

I shrinks in my seat retreating my eyes from him.This is so embarrassing.

Why Dhwani why?

"Have you had any relationships?"

Memories emerges my mind.The tears,the pain I suffered.

"You don't have to answer that" He smiles

I took a deep sigh."It's okay.. I had loved one boy he was my best friend "

"You still friends with him?"

"NO!.. sorry,no I can't also Neha would kill me"

He chuckles a little

"We met at high school.Used to be best buddies.When I go to college at Calicut he came with me too but different department.We were so close and one day he confessed that he likes me,more than friends"

I sighed

"And yeah I liked him too,loved him to be honest.. We were in love for two and half years."

"Why did you broke up?" He asks

"He loved me at first or I thought,then he started to have many female friends that was our seniors and..

"He wanted me to do whatever he says.As long as I loved him I didn't wanted to upset him but some things he said was against my moral,against my conscience.But later I came to know he was cheating behind my back with those girls.I caught their nudes in his phone one day...I don't know what's wrong with me I gave all my love and that's what I-I got b-back."

I didn't realised I was crying untill he hugged me and rubbed my back.

"I'm sorry I didn't knew,I pushed you to say" He whispers

"It's okay I wanted to tell you"

We sat on a bench on balcony and aimlessly stared at the view ahead.Looks like day with a black and white filter on.

"It was you right" Dev mumbles

"What?"

"You came on hostel terrace at night before the opening day right"

Shit.Is he thinking what I'm thinking

"No I don't know what you're talking about"

Is it him that I saw.Please God,don't be him don't be him.

"Don't lie to me I saw your face in moonlight... You are a naughty girl Dhwani,sneaking on boys hostel when they change" He says with a smug grin

Damn.It's him

"NO!! No no no please I'm sorry It was accidental" It's so embarrassing

"Don't worry I wont complain" He says

The only reason I peeked is because there were a tamil song playing in background.I told him about that and he replies Aayush played it.Maybe he likes Tamil songs as his mom is from Chennai.

"You may did it on purpose" I pouts

"But you still looked miss Dhwani Krishna"

"Oh shut up will you" I groaned

I can't help but hit his shoulder as he continues to tease me.

Right.He's asking for it.

I hit him on shoulder,arm,chest everywhere I could reach as he laughed so hard.I kept on hitting and suddenly he grabbed my hands.

I realise we're so close and our faces almost touches.I can feel his breath on my face and I can't help swallow.

He looses his grab on my hand and pushes a strand of my hair behind my ear.His fingertips on my ear made my body shiver.When I look into his eyes,his light brown ones told me something.My breath hitched as he glances my lips and soon he leaned in.I don't know what happened but I closes my eyes and lean towards him.

Suddenly my phone rang making both of us apart in a flash.He stood up and goes to the balcony railing

Omg.What just happened?we almost kissed.

I took the phone and Neha asks me "Can we come there right now?You two are not on any business right"

I rolled my eyes and told her to come.
What if she haven't called at that exact time?

We.. We would've kissed.His lips on mine,the thought itself is making a swamp of butterflies in my stomach now.
