Klaus POV

The next morning, I found myself standing in Ozpin's office alongside Ruby. General Ironwood was there, standing rigid as always, his expression as unreadable as stone. Professor Glynda stood nearby, clipboard in hand, her sharp gaze flickering between Ruby and me as the conversation unfolded.

Apparently, someone broke into Beacon last night and tried to steal data from the main office. I wasn't sure why I had been called in, but here I was, standing in Ozpin's office alongside Ruby. The air felt heavy, and I could sense that whatever had happened, it wasn't something minor.

Ironwood: Ruby, I feel it's appropriate to let you know that I think what you did last night is exactly what being a Huntress is all about. You recognized a threat. You took action. And you did the very best you could.

Ruby: Thank you, sir.

Ozpin: Now, the general here has already informed us of the events that... transpired last night, but now that you've rested, we were wondering if you had anything to add.

Glynda: Was anyone else with her? Did she look familiar to you at all? Did you see anything suspicious Klaus:

Ironwood: I think Klaus was preoccupied with something else at that time.

Ironwood's tone carried a subtle sharpness, the kind that hinted at disappointment without outright saying it. His eyes briefly flicked to mine, then back to Ozpin, as though he'd already made a silent judgment.

Klaus: I-uh

Ruby: I... I don't know. She was wearing a mask, and she never said anything to me. But I know she fought with glass. I don't think that was her Semblance, though. Her clothing lit up whenever she attacked.

Glynda: Save for the glass, that sounds like the woman I fought the night we met Ruby.

Ironwood: Embedding Dust into clothing is an age-old technique. It could have been anyone.

Klaus: Do you think that this mysterious thief would a part of the White Fang or was an accomplice of Roman?

Ozpin: It's possible. But we still lack the required evidence to link the two together.

Ruby: Actually, I... I think I remember her saying something about a hideout, or something, in the southeast. Just outside the Kingdom.

Ozpin: Interesting.

Glynda: I thought you said the intruder never-

Ozpin: Thank you for your cooperation, Ruby, Klaus. Why don't you go and spend some time with your team? You have a big day ahead of you.

Ruby/Klaus: (leaving) Any time.

Ironwood: I'd like to have a word with you, Klaus, outside. Ruby, you may leave.

Ruby glances at me, slightly concerned but nods before walking out of the office. Klaus follows Ironwood outside, the door closing softly behind them.

Ironwood: Your mentor took your mission so you could have a dance.

Klaus: (smirking) Yes, he's the best, isn't he?

Ironwood: Before Ozpin took you in, it was Atlus Military that nurtured you for three years.

Klaus: (nodding) And I'm forever grateful for that.

Ironwood: (pauses) I saw you were really close with Ms. Schnee yesterday.

Klaus: (shrugging) It was a tiring week for us.

Ironwood: I'd suggest you stay away from her.

Klaus: (smirking, raising an eyebrow) Is that a threat or a warning, General?
