Klaus POV

The moon hung high in the night sky, casting a silvery glow over the Schnee manor. Klein's directions were precise, and as I reached the third floor, I found the balcony he had described. The curtains were drawn, but I could see a faint light inside.

I placed my hands on the balcony railing, my tiger limbs steadying me as I climbed over. Slowly, I pushed the window open, careful not to make any noise. The room was quiet, save for the faint sound of someone breathing.

Weiss sat on the floor, her back against the door, her knees drawn up to her chest. Her face was buried in her hands, and her quiet sobs cut through the silence of the room like a blade.

I stepped inside, my boots making the faintest sound against the floor.

Klaus: "Bad day, Snowflake?" I said softly, my voice gentle.

She froze, her hands slowly lowering from her face. Her tear-streaked cheeks glistened in the dim light as she turned her head toward me. I caught sight of the tears streaming down her face. Whoever had done this to her-whoever had made her cry like this-would pay.

Her eyes widened in disbelief, and for a moment, she just stared, as if trying to convince herself I was real.

Weiss: "Klaus?" she whispered, her voice trembling.

Klaus: "Did you miss me?" I smiled, stepping closer.

She didn't answer with words. Instead, she sprang to her feet and hurried toward me, throwing herself into my arms. I caught her, holding her tightly as her body shook with sobs.

Weiss: "You're alive, You're really here..."

She choked out, her voice muffled against my chest. I rested my chin on her head, stroking her back gently.

Klaus: "I'm here, Weiss. I'm sorry I didn't come sooner. I wanted to-so badly-but..."

Weiss: "I don't care,"

She interrupted, pulling back just enough to look up at me. Her eyes were red, but they burned with a mix of relief and frustration.

Weiss: "You're here now. That's all that matters."

As I held her close, my eyes drifted down to her face, and that's when I noticed it-a faint red mark on her chin. My heart stopped for a moment, and then rage began bubbling just beneath the surface. I gently tilted her chin up, inspecting it more closely.

Klaus: "What is this?"

I asked, my voice low and calm. Weiss flinched slightly, her hands clutching at my coat.

Weiss: "It's nothing, Klaus," she whispered, her tone hesitant.

Klaus: "Nothing?" I repeated, my voice sharpening as I looked her in the eyes. "Weiss, don't lie to me. Who did this to you?"

She hesitated, her lips trembling as she tried to find the words. she finally admitted, her voice barely audible.

Weiss: "It was... my father,"

Klaus: "He hit you?"

I asked, each word laced with a cold fury I could barely contain
