"I feel like the selection process for hiring people here is a bit too lax," Anna remarked while looking at the housekeeper of the main house, who bowed her head in acknowledgment of her mistakes.

"I-I’m so sorry, ma'am. These two are my nieces," the long-time housekeeper apologized, as she was the one who had asked the housemaster to hire her nieces to work here. However, she had already informed them of the house rules, especially regarding the boss.

"Are they Aunt Ronia's nieces?" Danil asked the housekeeper, who had been around since he was a child.

"Yes, young master," the housekeeper responded, feeling guilty. She didn’t want to take sides with her nieces because she knew very well what Danil was like. She had helped raise him since he was little, and after he moved to his own small house, she hadn’t paid much attention to who was coming and going in the main house.

"Auntie, we didn’t do anything wrong," the young woman insisted, believing that no one could hear them.

"Do you think my room doesn’t have a CCTV camera?" Danil asked, causing both of them to freeze, looking around warily before kneeling down and holding onto their own thighs.

"Aunt Ronia, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to," the young woman who thought there was a camera confessed quickly. In reality, Danil hadn’t installed cameras in his room because sometimes he had secrets to discuss with Leif and didn’t want them to leak.

"What happened?" Raiza's voice came up as she entered with Pavel.

"Is everything okay, Anna?" Pavel asked.

"Well, these two housemaids have been behaving inappropriately," Anna replied.

"Ma'am, we both spoke without thinking carefully. Please forgive us! You can deduct our salaries if you want! We promise we'll improve," the young woman pleaded. Pavel turned to ask the housemaster standing by before learning about what had happened.

"Since this is their first mistake, just forgive them! Besides, Danil also physically harmed them, didn’t he? If this leaks outside, Danil will also be gossiped about for being abusive to his own housemaids," Raiza stated, knowing full well that it wasn’t concern but merely an attempt to jab at Danil.

"If this is going to leak out, it will probably come from those who can’t keep their mouths shut. Everyone here knows better than to speak of internal matters outside. Even if someone wants to boast about it, I don’t care," Danil shot back, making Raiza feign a sad expression.

"Anna, I just worry about her nieces," Raiza quickly said to Anna.

"Hmph." Danil made a sound from his throat. Raiza could only press her lips together in frustration, not daring to show any more overt reactions.

"I’ll handle matters within my house myself. Ronia, I might have to let your nieces go because you know why," Anna said calmly. She had no intention of keeping those who spoke ill of the boss, especially regarding sensitive matters related to bloodlines and family.

"Understood, ma’am. I’ll take care of this right away," Ronia said before quickly leading her two nieces out of Danil’s bedroom. The housemaster called for someone to come in and clean up.

"So, Pavel, what brings you here?" Anna turned to ask Pavel.

"Edik asked me to meet here," Pavel replied.

"In that case, let’s go downstairs and let Danil rest," Anna suggested. Pavel then led his wife out of their nephew’s room immediately. Anna took Danil’s hand, guiding him to the area where the bed was located.

"Danil, don’t listen to those two," Anna said, worried her son might dwell on the issues. Danil chuckled softly to himself, feeling pity for himself.

"I’m sorry for throwing a tantrum and breaking things like this," Danil admitted. Anna gently rubbed his head.
