Reincarnated as Enemies [Prologue]

Deja vu

They finally, after so much work, after being there for so many years, after Celta's death, after killing the golem, the defeat of the ear and Steve's near death experiences: They were in front of the exit, with a new semi circle of small pebbles that connected the corners of the cave.

It was night outside. The stars were filling the ceiling making it as beautiful as a canvas in which an artist painted his masterpiece. It was the first time Steve looked at it so carefully. It was dark with stars, like every night sky, but there were some darker lines on some parts that extended through the sky and went past the horizon.

"Weird", Steve thought.

They started walking towards the exit and Takobu asked: "What is your family gonna say when they see that scar?".

"No problem", he reassured him "When we get out a' here we will be back to normal"

"Oh, okay", he said feeling relieved.

When they were about to exit the dungeon, a shiver was sent through Steve's spine. Fear was seen all over his face and body as he trembled like an earthquake. The other two looked at Steve, worried for what could have happened until Steve suddenly grabbed them by their clothes and threw them back by enhancing himself with aura.

They fell and said: "Shinto, this isn't funny", while standing up again.

Steve had remembered something important. Something he should have said a long time ago. "How could I forget about it!? If you exit the dungeon, you return to the state you were in before entering it!", Steve shouted.

"And?" They both asked.

"You were born here! YOU WILL DISAPPEAR!", he screamed in horror.

Yorokobu and Takobu stood there, looking at each other in disbelief. Then they nodded at each other and resumed their walking.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?", Steve screamed at them.

"Mom's wish was that we get out of the dungeon", Takobu said as they were about to fulfill that promise.

Steve pushed them back and unsheathed his sword, creating something with aura that surrounded the blade to make it dull. "YOU WILL NOT PASS BY ME!", Steve said as he placed himself, ready for battle, between them and the exit.

The other two also got ready for a battle, but instead of Takobu grabbing his book and Yorokobu his knife, they just got their fists ready.

They sprinted at Steve, Yoro in front of Takobu, and Yoro tried to hit Steve, who precisely deviated his fist with his sword to make him turn around and then kicked him to push him back, but Tako was already going to punch him in the gut, so he dodged by crouching, which was easy due to the difference in height, and then did an uppercut, followed by an elbow to the center of his abdomen, pushing him back.

He didn't have time to think, since Yoro's fist was already on his face, which almost made him leave the dungeon but he created a wall behind him to push him forward, then striking him on his left leg, which was bent, making him fall, but before pushing him back he saw Tako about to hit him on the gut, thing he wasn't able to dodge, followed by Yoro, who was on the ground kicking Steve on the face, sending him to the ground.

His nose was bleeding, but he stood up, ready to continue. He saw that they were approaching him from different directions, so he created some dull swords, which he sent to them but were easily dodged.

They were getting close, so Steve swung his sword, but they changed their direction. They were going to the exit, each to one side.

Steve couldn't think of anything. "Are they really going to disappear and I can't do anything to stop them?", he wondered.
