Divergent High The New Stepsister

Chapter 1

My names Beatrice Prior, but I go by Tris. Im 18 years old, and have a brother that lives with my dad up in Kansas City, Kansas. I live with my mom and stepdad in California.

I have the best friends I could ask for. Uriah and Zeke are brothers, Shauna and Lynn are sisters, then there's Will, Chris, Marlene, and the best boyfriend I could ever have... Four.

Four and I have been dating for 2 and a half years. We never fight and are always by each other.

School started about 3 months ago. Were going to get a new girl today. Right now I'm in first block, Math. I'm not bad at math but I'm also not one of the really smart people at it.

The bell for class to be over should ring in about 10 seconds.
10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1 blast off!
"See you tomorrow!" Ms. Matthews says
I grab my stuff and head to my locker. Me and Four both have social studies next.

As I get to my locker I see Four talking to another girl. I don't care though. I know he wouldn't cheat on me. Im not a person who gets jealous.

I grab my social studies book and close my locker. Four finishes talking to her, so he comes over to me.

"Who was that?" I ask
"The new girl, her names Lauren"
"Is she nice?"
"Yeah she asked me if I wanted a sucker!" he laughs
"Did you take it?" I ask
"No" he says
"Why not it was a free sucker!"
"It was cherry!"
"Ew!" I say
"Yeah" he wraps his arm around my shoulder and I wrap my arm around his waist.
"What are we learning about in social studies today?" he asks me
"Um I think Mr. Amar said World War 1" I tell him
"Yes! I love learning about the wars!"

*Time Skip:Lunch*

Lauren sat with us, right next to Four. Today we're having chicken and noodle soup.

I look over at the table next to us and see someone squirting soup out of there eye. I swear these kids at this school. That makes me loose my apatite, so I lean my head on Fours shoulder.
"Why aren't you eating?" he asks
"I lost my apatite"
"Why?"
"Them" I say pointing at the table
"Oh, we'll if you aren't going to eat can I have your cake?" he asks eyeballing my cake
"Sure" I say handing it to him
"Thanks" he says pecking my lips
"Yep"

"So Lauren where did you move from?" Chris asks
"Chicago" she says
"Why did you move?" Shauna asks
"I'm moving in with my dad, stepmom, and stepsister. I've never met my stepmom and sister, so I'm going to meet them after school. My mom decided just to move here so I can still see her." she says
"Cool"Chris and Shauna say at the same time

Soon we're in the last block of the day, Vocal. Vocal is probably one of my favorite classes. Mr.Mate is one of the best teachers I've had.

Vocal flys by fast. I put my stuff in my locker and head home. Four said he would come over later.
