It's a lake weekend and I cannot wait to get there. Unfortunately I do have to work until 2:00 today so I won't be heading down until later. My grandparents headed to the lake house bright and early this morning. Ashton stayed back and he and I will drive down when I get off. The rest of the friend group will probably head down then too.

Once my alarm went off, I got up and took a shower, then got out and did my hair and makeup before heading to my closet to pick some clothes out. I work at American Eagle so I get to pretty much dress cute on shifts.

I picked out a pair of ripped jeans and a white top that flowed a tad at the bottom. I tossed on some Converse then grabbed my purse, phone, and keys and headed upstairs. As I came off the stairs and into the kitchen, I jumped seeing my boyfriend standing at the back door.

I laughed as he did and walked over, unlocking it and letting him in,

"Good morning" he smiled, kissing me then hugging me.

"Good morning" I smiled, "You look cute"

He blushed. He did look cute. He had on a pair of black Nike shorts with a baggy white t-shirt,

"Well thank you. You look very cute as well" he complimented,

"So whatcha doing here already?" I asked,

"I thought I could take you and pick you up from work. And if we leave soon, we can get coffee" he told me,

"I think that is a great idea" I smiled,

"I also need new jeans so I thought you could help me before you get off" he spoke shyly,

"We can do that"

We quickly ended up leaving and did get coffee on the way. Once we got to the mall, Ashton pulled up near the door I typically go in,

"Have a good day!" he beamed,

"Thanks. See you in a bit" I laughed and leaned over the console to kiss him. He kissed me back and waited until I was inside before driving away.

Just as the end of my shift was approaching, Ashton walked into the store. My co-worker saw him first and told me I was good to go ahead and clock out. I thanked her then found Ashton over by the jeans,

"I don't even know which ones I usually get" he admitted, making me mentally face palm. Typical boy move,

"You get the athletic fit for you and then the bootcut ones for work" I told him, "Now the sizing has changed so you need to try them on"

He nodded and grabbed a pair of athletic cut then a bootcut pair,

"I'll try one of each then when I figure the size out I'll grab another pair" he told me. I nodded and followed him to the dressing rooms, unlocking one for him,

"You're not going to come in with me" he pouted,

"If I wasn't a worker I would" I laughed, "Just try them on and show me"

He laughed and closed the door. The dude asks my opinion on every article of clothing. I practically built his wardrobe.

Ashton opened the door and was clearly uncomfortable,

"Bro my balls are suffocating. Can you get me the size up?" He asked,

"Did you just bro me?" I laughed,

"Sorry" he nodded, "Babe, my balls are suffocating. Can you get the size up please?"

"Much better" I laughed, "Be right back"

I walked back to the jeans and got the size up in both styles he had chose. I took them back to him and he thanked me then tried them on.

A few minutes later, Ashton walked out with the two pairs he was going to buy,

"These work" he spoke making me nod as we headed to check out. Ashton gave me his credit card and I went behind the counter and rung them up, adding my employee discount to it. Not really supposed to do it but we all do and nobody says anything.

Once I finished buying his pants, we headed out and to my house. I still need to pack a few clothes for the lake before we head down.

When we got back to my house, we headed inside and down to my room. As always, Ashton immediately went and jumped into my bed,

"We are literally about to leave again" I laughed,

"Yeah yeah" he waved me off then made grabby hands like a toddler. I walked over and he pulled me down to lay on top of him, holding me in a tight hug,

"This is nice" he smiled,

"Yeah it is" I smiled. We laid for a little while, Ashton occasionally pressing kisses to my head. He has always done that and it's my favorite thing,

"As much as I'd love to keep laying here and getting into more, we do need to head to the lake or the grandparents are gonna get curious" I spoke. Ashton chuckled and let me up.

I quickly grabbed my clothes then we were out of the house and on the road.

Ashton and I arrived at the lake house at the same time as the rest of our friends. We all hopped out of vehicles and grabbed overnight bags and headed inside. My grandparents were in the kitchen working on dinner but were so excited when we walked in,

"Oh hello" my grandma raved, "Go put your bags up and come down for dinner"

"We'll head out for a boat ride after" my grandpa followed.

We all headed upstairs to where all the room except for my grandparents were. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms then a room that has a bunch of built in bunks. Two of the bedrooms are my aunts' then the other is mine. Ashton and I always sleep in mine and our friends sleep in the bunk room.

We dropped our bags and headed back downstairs, all grabbing plates and food, then heading to sit outside.

"How was everyone's days?" my grandpa asked,

"Pretty good. Took Blayke to work then ran errands then went and bought some jeans" Ashton rattled. He is always the first one to respond to these questions. He's been living by himself since the moment he turned 18 so he never get asked by his parents or anything.

"Work was busy" Calum spoke, followed by the other boys,

"I had a great day" Madison beamed. My grandparents smiled and we all continued just chatting and eating.

After dinner was finished we all did clean up and headed out for a boat ride before coming back and all heading up to bed, ready to get up and get out in the water tomorrow.
