few days had passed since, me and jisung were working on ourselves. it was going well, both of us admitting flaws and growing closer. it was like the breakup was the past not so far away. jisung seemed to also work on his flirting, often showing up to pick me up, give flowers, even cooked for me. if i were to say he was total husband material, i would be a fraud.
however, nothing goes well, theres always some kind of drama. it's high school after-all, like any day me and in-soo walked to school. thankfully we didn't encounter some old lady trying to socialize with us on our way, or i would have honestly lost my shit this morning. we made it to school on time, surprisingly. "changbin!" startled, i let out a small yelp at her sudden scream.
before i could blink, before me stood my worst enemy ; seo changbin. don't get me wrong, he was just in-soo's boyfriend, which is why he is obviously my enemy. "c'mon haewon, stop glaring at your 'father'" in-soo giggled, i rolled my eyes approaching. "so you showed up today" i spoke in a neutral tone, "yeah to give you, your fifty bucks so you can go on a date with my girlfriend" he exaggerated a sigh, i laughed so hard.
that i doubled over clutching my stomach and stomping my feet like a maniac. "gladly!" i snatched the fifty out of his hand and took in-soo running towards our classes. changbin followed not far behind. as usual the classes were boring, i almost fell asleep. the only thing keeping me awake being what did jisung have planned today. the bell rang, piercing my hearing, how amazing. i groaned slinging my bag over my shoulder and left my class.
meeting the group outside class, as we all made our way towards the compound. me and in-soo parted with the rest, that's when my real enemy stood infront of me. of-course it was the one and only ahin, katie and emma. "look who we have" ahin snickered, "if it wasn't for the boy stealer" he laughed more. "what" i looked at him with genuine question, "well, you are the one that started dating, jisung..." katie pouted weirdly, i cringed internally. "not sorry" i smiled unapologetically, "maybe if you fix that attitude of yours" i mocked her face.
"oh and if you want take him" i shrugged acting unbothered, despite the act it was in vain. motioning in-soo to follow we left. not in the mood to talk to jisung who was waiting expectantly at the gate, i walked right past him. bitchy i know. in-soo gave a pitiful smile and followed me, jisung too turned but got stopped. i stopped on instinct and pulled in-soo with me behind a wall.
eavesdropping, "jisung, it's been awhile" katie smiled, her voice pick me. "oh... you are...?" jisung looked at her confused. "you don't remember, it's me katie" she pouted, latching her hand to jisung's. he quickly brushed her grip off. "oh..." he nodded, "did you need something?" his voice uninterested as he switched on his heels, eager to leave. his behavior kind of gave me a glimpse of hope.
"i was wondering... if you'd like to date me" she spoke shamelessly, making me gang, in-soo laughed at my reaction. "this is gold, i wish i had my phone to record" in-soo was in tears from laughing. "um.. i like another" he rejected instantly, "ugh, exposed and broke them up for nothing" she muttered almost to herself but me and in-soo heard. "it was her?!" i whisper yelled. "fuck!" in-soo cursed.
"and i'm not sorry to reject you" jisung smiled sarcastically, clearly hearing her words. katie stomped and grumbled as jisung walked past her, i took him by the shirt and smashed our lips together. surprised his eyes widen but relaxed into the sudden and soft kiss. his hands sliding around my waist as mine cup his cheeks. we broke away blushing, and stared at each other with a small smile. lips tingling from the kiss, we broke away from our little world when in-soo gasped.
"ha..." i let out a breath, slowly turning to her. jisung was still bright red, his bit his lip shyly running a finger on his lower one. her mouth agape, she pointed at both of us in disbelief. behind jisung stood an angry katie, i stuck my tongue pettily and took jisung's arm walking away as in-soo followed. to our amazing luck it began raining right then too.

exams are over finally! i think i passed everything except one but that's okay... anyway here's an update i wrote while i had no wifi. gonna raid in-soo's house tmrw like a great friend 🥰
