Same Day
📍Hezekiah's House_
"Are you alright? You look nervous." Levania asked, and Kash responded with a nod. Truth be told, he was having an internal breakdown. This was a lot for him to handle all at once.
He looked at Levania, easily becoming entranced when he saw the way his eyes sparkled. The more he looked into his eyes, the more he felt his nerves slowly ease away.
He reached behind him and pulled out the bear he hid on his way into the house and handed over to Levania, who looked at it, confused. It only took him a few seconds before his eyes widened as he remembered the bear. He also remembered the last time he saw the bear.
"Mr. Giggles." He murmured, squeezing its tummy, and the sound of the bear's laughter filled his ears.
"Kash..." Levania called, and the male looked up upon hearing his name. He saw the look in Levania's eyes and nodded, confirming the silent speculation Levania had at the moment.
The atmosphere around them grew silent after that. So silent that you could hear the soft breaths coming from them. Levania didn't know what to say at the discovery.
He didn't know what to say at that moment.
"When I was five..." Levania perked up when he heard the deep voice he's been longing to hear again for the longest. He decided to stay quiet and let Kash say whatever he needed.
"My father would come into my room at night, and he would...he would...do things to me. Things no father should ever do to a child. Especially their own." He said, and Levania's heart sank as he pieced together and digested what Kash meant.
"When I spoke about it, no one believed me. Everyone thought I was a liar, so I stopped tryin' to get em' to listen. I stopped talkin' entirely." Kash explained as the memories began flooding his mind. He's never spoken to anyone about his past, and he appreciated the fact that Levania chose to stay quiet and listen to him.
"It didn't take long before my mama kicked me out when she found out I liked men, and I was left without a place to sleep. I couldn't call it home because that place didn't feel like home. It felt like my own personal prison, and I was heartbroken when it happened but also relieved." He said as the memory of his mother's harsh words echoed through his mind.
"I was lucky enough to find the shelter that night because I had lost all hope in life, or so I thought until I met you." Kash then turned his body so that he was facing Levania.
"You didn't know it, but you saved me. You gave me back a tiny sliver of the hope I lost, and I held onto that for years. You were the first person to ever show me such kindness in such a long time, and I thought I would never get to see you again to at least thank you. I lost my hope again. " Kash paused, trying to find the proper words for what he was trying to say.
"That all changed when I saw you again, and I knew it was you because of your eyes. They had the same sparkle of innocence. It's like, in just under a month, you were able to break through the wall I spent years putting up, and I'm honestly scared. No, I'm terrified. I'm scared to let go now because I'm already attached to you. I don't know if you feel the same way, but you bring me peace. My mind goes completely blank of all the negativity when I'm around you." He said, gently reaching out and taking Levania's hand in his.
"I realized most of it was due to the way you take care of me even if it was the smallest things. Cookin' fa me, comfortin' me, talkin' to me, knowin' I wouldn't say anything back. You're helping me find myself, and that's what scares me the most because I don't wanna lose what we have going right now or what we could potentially be." This was new for Kash as he wasn't used to being vulnerable like this, or being vulnerable in general as it made him feel weak, but he couldn't help it because Levania just had that amount of power over him. The younger male didn't know it, but he had Kash wrapped around his pretty little fingers like a lovesick puppy.
