In the halls of high school, I never knew
The secret crush that you held true.
Your heart beats fast, your soul on fire,
But I, too shy, failed to inspire.Your words, a whisper in my ear,
"I had a crush on you, my dear."
I froze, unsure of what to say,
And let the moment slip away. Now, years have passed, and I regret
The chance I let slip through my fingertips.
If only I had seen the signs
And given you a chance to shine. But life has moved on, and we've grown apart,
Our paths diverged, and our hearts been broken.
Yet, I still wonder, how are you?
And if you're happy, and living true.
