It was the next day and team 7 met up for their training exercise. Kagurama ignored both Naruto and Sasuke when they arrived at the meet up spot.

"H-hey Kagurama..." not responding to the blonde, Kagurama crossed her arms and walked further away from him.

"Naruto, just leave her alone." Sasuke grabbed the males outstretched arm, and pulled it away from the girls direction.

"I was just gonna apologize, believe it..." he said dejectedly but Sasuke just shook his head 'no'. After yesterday, Kagurama was quick to wipe her tears, and jump up onto the windowsill of one of the apartments, and enter through the opened window. Immediately Sasuke realized that the rundown building was where she lived, and felt even more bad for her.

Kagurama could clearly hear them, but continued to ignore them. The last thing she wanted was pity. Especially from her Genin teammates.

'Naruto and his psychotic mother just had to ruin my day yesterday! I was supposed to be celebrating the milestone of being a Genin, and instead I was left humiliated by those fools!' She thought to herself, her mood worsening.

When she finally went home last night, expecting an empty fridge, she was surprised to see it packed with groceries, as well as pre-made food.

Her initial shock was replaced with a sense of gratefulness, seeing the sticky note on the fridge.

*congrats on making on officially becoming Team 7. Don't skip meals.*

It being signed with a dog print put only one name in her mind.

Fox.

One thing the girl would never openly admit was how much she missed Fox. He was the only figure really present in her life growing up, and him suddenly disappearing hurt more than she expected.

So for once, she didn't go to sleep hungry, and ate the food that was prepared and placed in the fridge to be warmed up.

Like yesterday, Kakashi strolled up to the group, late.

"Once again, you're late!" This time Sasuke scolded their teacher.

"Sorry, an old lady asked me to help her cross the road."

"You would think a Jōnin has the decency of being on time." Kagurama said, clearly stating her annoyance. Kakashi observed the three for a moment, sensing the tension within the group. He heard about last night's incident, this morning when the Hokage summoned him. He also received a scolding for how badly he injured Kagurama, but to his defense, he wasn't even aware of her injury.

He did hold back his punch, so he didn't expect for her to actually be injured to that severity.

"Alright, settle down. Our first mission is to look for a lady's missing cat. Let's begin!"
